  1. sounds like the return springs in the reverse and forward clutch assy have broken seen it happen a few times not uncommon. If you want to keep the auto then best just remove it and strip it down and see what damage there is. Most case you can get away with replacing the broken parts. I would be happy to help you out if you decide to do it yourself.
  2. These pipe come from the A.I.V system (behind the plastic wheel spats) and conect to the stock nissan exhaust system. After market exhaust systems dont have this connection so you find these pipes not connected. http://www.300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=efec&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=20&design=default&total=190 TBH this is not the type of car you want to do your first engine swap on. There are a lot of checking and testing of the donna engine and engine items before you even think about putting the engine in. If i was you take a look at the online manual on Dans website (DTA) link is here http://www.300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi Then decide if you want to do it yourself or not. But, if you do decide to DIY im sure with the resources and the help from the nice chaps on this forum your be ok. Anyway if you fook it up just call Jeff

  9. ive used some of this paint in the past and to be honest i'd say dont waist your money. If you want to paint the light fittings in your house its ok but anything thats going to get dirty is a no no.

  14. If they are going to pay you for advertising space on your car then go ahead.
  15. Check it at normal running temp (take it for a drive). Get someone to sit in with there foot on the brake select Drive 'D' then check level
  16. great picture there Silverbullet... i see you have moved the fuel damper and regulator of the plenum great idea.
  17. If the heads or even the block have been resurfaced a few times in the past then a std thickness head gasket will be to thin you must measure and work out the correct thickness of the new head gasket to restore what has been machined off otherwise you could end up with the dowels that locate the heads to the block holding of the heads by a fraction perventing the full clamping force on the head gasket.
  18. Can only be head gaskets or a cracked head. Was the correct thickness head gaskets used to compensate for when the heads where resurfaced?
  19. Good work Nick cant wait to see it finished
  20. Good advice there from Dr Phil Chin up mate. Why dont you take your Z apart polish everything then put it all back together that should take your mind for things for a bit.
  21. never used these two. Main one i use is Concept Z so far seems to be a bit cheaper on most parts.
  22. i like the one Carmad dose with the thin slot across the top just right to fit a K.I.T.T scanner LED lol
  23. it wasnt a year Alan and besides you knew the problems i was having with my business partner at the time. Im sorry your car was caught up in it all.
  24. Just checked your old invoice matey you didn’t have 360's fitted just STD!!! Also actuators were new weather they are cad plated or black makes no odds its how they came. You saw them when I was fitting them to your engine if you’re saying I was trying to make them look new then why would I only paint one when you can see both from under the car which you again saw. Pipe flanges were flattered sealant was used and.......???? Bottom line is if you had a problem you should have brought the car back.
