  1. all right u rumbled me its near 5 years  lol
  2. Nice car… Almost give me the inspiration to fit my wide arch kit only had it 4 years lol
  3. fitted one of these to a guys car last month. good quality like Lee said rad cap not the best but ok. Think ive seen these cheaper about £100 on ebay i think. Note **if you have an auto you will need to buy a suitable oil cooler for the gearbox because the std nissan auto rad has the gearbox oil cooler built in**
  4. top end treatment will do the trick try this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORTE-TOP-END-TREATMENT-400ML_W0QQitemZ220469096891QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item3354fb71bb or you might want to try a cheaper band.
  5. The engine can take a few overheats if you catch quick enough and switch of and let it cool down but if you try to force cool the engine i.e. put cool water into a overheat engine this is where you can cause the damage.
  6. sorry to butt in. Jonny, do as Stu has said. with the engine cold take the rad cap of a check level your should see the coolant at the top/neck of the rad. 'vg' is refering to the 300zx engine code 'VG30DETT'
  7. not many production cars age as well as a 300zx. i fell i love with them the first time i saw one and i cant say that about another car (in my price range of course lol)
  8. Let's start a new tread.. The reason i was never a millionaire was because i had a Z at 20
  9. Sorry to hear that mate. I never got on with my dad haven’t spoke to him in 21 years and my mum and sis live in Spain. Thank god i got my own family now who i love dearly. I got my Z when I was 20 and I’ve had it ever since. Bloody hell that’s 21 years just realised lol.
  10. Andy, are the inlet to head gaskets made of steel with rubber seals or that exhaust gasket material?
  11. BBS style wheels suit the 300 down to a T. love the wheels Craig i'm after a set just like em. Where did you get these from and how much? sizes?
  12. Hello mate welcome btw the engine is in the front on 300zx lol
  13. I need a few odd gaskets for Z32 TT are these good quality gaskets in this set then Andy? I thought they where to cheap to be any good.
  14. I'll post some more pictures Monday
  15. Great job Andy. Little buggers to get out lol
  16. i think its one of ebay fits really well not much trimming needed.
  17. what colour was the old fluid? did it smell burnt? if so then dead box if not could be pump or torque converter. this might help if your thinking of rebuilding. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=128147
  18. Heads the same apart from cams. just stick the TT engine in lol
  19. check the part number on the gearbox: TT RE4R03A N/A RE4R01A http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=128147
  20. As you put the torque converter into the gearbox you should rotate it as it goes in. you should feel several clunks as it engages with the gearbox input shaft and oil pump. Once fitted it should feel nice and snug with only a slight lateral movement.
  21. Are you sure it’s a TT box and not a N/A? Oil pump drive is different between N/A gearbox and TT If you put a straight edge on the face of the bell housing and measure to one of the four mounting studs on the torque converter you should have a measurement of 25mm+
  22. do mean the locating stub in the camshaft?
  23. trimmed in the over bumper getting ready to bond it
