  1. CZP's are steel, so that's not going to happen to those!
  2. The best place to tee it into is the line to the original boost sensor on the RHS of the engine bay. You can tee into the line for the fuel pressure reg, but I wouldn't recommend this as if it comes off you'll lean out.
  3. Yeah, knew it wasn't you Hugh, you'd have put the window through sticking it on ;)
  4. Lol, that'll be the ones you stuck on my car. Cheeky b*****d. Good to see you again Jay, and to meet Neil.
  5. Pleased you're happy mate. Mark, drop me a line when you're ready. Cheers
  6. Bloody hell Vinz, had me worried there for a minute. Thought you meant your car!
  7. I've got the techedge one (http://www.wbo2.com) Excellent piece of kit, and you can also attach 3 x other sensors and 3 x thermocouples + rpm to it for logging. I built mine from kit which is a ball ache, but not too difficult if you can use a soldering iron. Highly rated by everone that has one really. Emerald are even going to use it for their ECU's rather than build their own. They all tend to use Bosch LSU or NTK UEGO sensors, so I guess there's not much to choose between them other than the extra features they have.
  8. You could always bolt a centrifugal blower onto it, maybe 6psi with stock compression, or more with intercooling.
  9. It's nice to have it out the way anyway, incase you need to hang in the revs mid bend abd don't want to back off. Also, the Z one is a 2cyl at a time cut, so every time you hit it you bore wash 2 then 4 cyls for a few revs
  10. Stock is 6800, I ususually set it to 7200 with stock injectors, run mine to 7500 with 555's. Hydraulic lifters on most engines are marginal at ~8000
  11. There's a guy in the states done one recently. Escort racing have done the VH41 but not the VH45 as far as I know.
  12. My engine is arriving end of Feb, so hopefully ready for the summer :D

Boost does die off at high revs, and you'd already made peak power, so not much point revving it past there anyway. You'd probably have just run out of injector. That chip's sort of middle aggressive. Torque drops off quite quickly, which might suggest you're controller setup isn't ideal. Hard to know without being there.
  14. Anyone know if this is a genuine company. My girlfriends Dad thinks he might have been ripped off by a company using this name?

Nice one Matt, what boost were you running? Still the same chip?
  16. Nice to see it's finally done Ian. Just don't forget to book the petrol tanker to follow you home :D
  17. Don't think you normally have to grease rose joints. Deemon tweeks sell some covers you can put on them though.
  18. I'll pretend you didn't ask that Rob!! Manual obviously.
  19. Once mine's done the mounts will all be sorted. After market management isn't too bad to get going, other than the CAS trigger pattern. Trying to use the Q45 stuff would be more of a pain. Biggest problem I could see would be a signal for the slushbox if anyone insists on sticking with one.
  20. Waiting on a price now, will get back to you.
  21. You can turbo it, but you'll need manifolds at least and low comp pistons if you want to run any boost. It's a personal thing, but if you must go forced ind, then I'd go with a screw blower and intercooler at about 6-9psi and get an easy 550bhp. You won't get the same gains with NA type tuning, but it'll be sooooo much nicer. The S/C option should also be pretty good, provided you keep the throttles after the blower, but it'll be expensive too. If you go NA first, then as long as you don't up the compression or put cams with loads of overlap you can charge it later.
  22. About $1100 when I checked. Leigh (Friday) is waiting on a shipping cost from japan for his. Shipping mine from Aus was $400AU.
  23. The Z slushbox will bolt straight to the VH auto bell housing. For manual you need a converter plate.
  24. Decided a while back. Basically I hate the elastic power delivery from turbos, and as I want to do a lot of track days next year, I wanted an NA engine. The 4.5 is out of an infiniti Q45 / Nissan president. It's a lot lighter than the VG30 and will fit into the Z OK. I'm going for independant throttle bodies and emerald management. Reckon 400bhp should be quite easy. 500 is probably there with some internal work, but might be a bit expensive. Will keep some in progress pics up as we go (doing it down at Ztech with Ryan)
