  1. Mark, give me a call, can't be arsed typing it all! Cheers
  2. Come on Matt, where are ya mate, surely you want it now!

Most likely the converter I'd say Matt. Try getting another one and fitting that, or go for UK clocks.
  4. Yeah, they all work fine. The pads are all worn evenly too, and both sides are the same. They're the street ones, is it the harder ones you have?
  5. No, I fitted them to my first one then moved them to this one. Excellent bit of kit, just worn after a hard life I suppose. Need to get some proper boots for them next time. Cheers for the number.
  6. How long do these normally last on skyline brakes? Only done about 2000miles and mine are nearly done! Have to say after using them for a while I'm not massively impressed. Felt great to start with but never really bedded in like I would expect. Pedal feel never firmed up and they fade really badly after some hard use. They are easy to modulate but just don't inspire confidence because of the soft feel.
  7. Front end of the car has been feeling a bit crap recently, diving around a bit under braking and wandering. No play was obvious on the wheels so I stripped the suspension to parts and found it's the rose-joint on the end of the SE tie rods I've got. You can't feel any movement at all when the suspension's together but there's about 1mm when it's loose!! Anyone got SE's number so I can order some more? Cheers
  8. Got some pics of the LS1 conversion too, but a nasty yank v8 seems sacrilige somehow. Want a revvy V8, not a big thumper.
  9. Apparently it's much lighter. I just want an aspirated engine with good power, I really don't like the elastic power delivery of turbo engines. Need to check it all out, it's just and idea. Be good though
  10. Cool, cheers I'll check it out :)
  11. Anyone know which models nissan fitted this engine to (4.5l V8) Looks like it might fit into a Z, in which case I think I might give it a go.
  12. Think my opinions on this are fairly well known, bit of a purist. BUT, ABS on the z dosen't work with bigger callipars, so if you've got GTR stuff you should at least disable it. Oh, and it makes the pedal feel crap.

Swirl pot is to remove entrained air from the coolant. Won't do any harm, but I'd say it's unlikely to stop pressure build up. Might be a bit difficult to plumb in on a z too.
  14. Will do James, what were you wanting done again?! Memory like a sieve ...
  15. Cool, what you got coming, boost controller?
  16. No problems Mark, interesting to see a rag top! Matt, drop me a line and we'll sort it out soon mate. BTW, your post count seems fitting '666' !!
  17. No, the funny estate on steroids thing (Z3 M Hardtop sort of thing)
  18. Mike at MJP. They're interchangeable.
  19. It should be 3bar (or actually 2.9something) with the vac line pulled off, engine idling, ~2.5bar with it back on. You really need to check it under load, so it will be 3bar + boost pressure and make sure it holds that up to max revs.
  20. JWT should be way richer than that, usually about 10.5:1! Get the pressure checked. You can't adjust it with stock reg, but a working stock reg is fine anyway. Looks like the 2 numbers are just the max recorded AFR on each run, pretty meaningless.
  21. On mine, i just adjusted it while monitering MAF voltage to get the best 'Area under the curve' which I took as meaning that's when the breathing is most efficient.
  22. Sure, drop me a line and we'll sort it out. Cheers
  23. Don't think so, as on mine it's at 5900 and the lean spot is still there. Must get this damn map trace working ...
  24. Chris, drop me line mate.
