  1. :o:o:o Ooooo, bas*****! Group buy on black paint anyone!! In my defense, it is pretty scratched You missed the shiny battery terminals too.
  2. Doh, caught!! No, you have to be at least 24 apparently, but there are loadings for Can't believe I got my own age wrong
  3. Anyone had a good insurance quote recently? Mine's up and having real problems even getting insured. Even houghton wouldn't do it because it's modded and I'm 'only' 24!!
  4. TBH there's something to be said for getting a less poweful, grippy car as a first driver. You spend more time learning to control it properly and getting a feel for how it reacts that you do driving really good car where you have to be a bit daft to really explore its limits on the road.
  5. Hi Si, Wanna PM me your number pal, need to chat about address tracing! Cheers
  6. Cool, PM me your address and I'll get it in the post tomorrow.
  7. Found it now, so drop me a line and I'll send it off.
  8. Is on all the ones I've seen.
  9. You sure you're not just hearing the air whistle through the throttle plate? Could be the TB/Plenum gasket ?
  10. Funny to see that again, I knew that bloke, was his 300 that first made me think about getting one.
  11. I'd agree with Kirbz, the greddy ones seem to be a bit more stable than the blitz.
  12. 60ft times are about the same then. Removed the spare wheel, but everything else was still in there, fuel tank was 3/4 full. Did see the appeal, and it's a useful benchmark for any mods if anything else. Good day out, and cheap too. Not a patch on circuit racing IMO, but well worth doing once in a while.
  13. That's one thing I can guarentee won't happen!! There are loads of things I could do to make it a better drag car, but don't want to compromise it for road/track use (big sidewalled 5psi tyres, softened rear suspension). What sort of 60ft times do you get with the auto? Be interested to go back on a day when there's not a strong headwind to see if that really makes much difference.
  14. That's what it's supposed to do. There's a table in the ECU that gives idle speed at different RPM, don't have the figures handy, but if it's hot enough to bump it back up, it's too hot. Or your temp sensor is faulty. I'll double check the figures for you when I can.
  15. Really like those, much nicer than the fiat ones. Is the panel metal of fibreglass?
  16. Rubbish, 2.4-2.3. Scooby I raced first was 1.2
  17. Was a good day, definately go back some time. Best I could manage was a 13.3, the other 5 runs were pretty consistient 13.5's couldn't get a very good launch. Got beaten twice by a scooby with anti lag, thing was electric off the line (12.2) beat a couple of FTO's and an MR2 turbo. Nice to meet the Z club guys too.
  18. It's heavy and doesn't work with bigger callipars very well. And I'm a bit of a purist.
  19. Actually that's a fair point, check you're actually making full throttle when you've got the pedal down. Seen it before.
  20. Intercoolers, coupling pipe between comperssor inlet and hard pipe, 4 main boost hoses.
  21. I'd start by looking for air leaks.
  22. What would you know anyway, IT Chimp :smw:
  23. Absolutely loads, but still trying to learn!
  24. Anyone know the size & thread of the brake hard line fittings off the top of their head? Want to get some Tee pieces so I can junk the ABS.
