New dashboard pic.
Bugger, knew someone was after it! Has no pulley but it's there if you still want it. Might be best to remove the circuit from the back of the stock speedo, box it then use that do drive the PAS ECU. I'd imagine it converts the pulses from the speed sensor to an analogue signal used by the PAS ECU but I've never had to check it out. Hopefully someone can shed some light on it

Leon @ Alunox
Shame you didn't get one of the downpipe off the car, was a fantastic piece of work. A car using Leon's manifolds won its class at Le Mans this year, top work. Really interesting little car that, got to admire the work that went into it.

Keith, what did you do about the speed signal to the PAS ECU from the stock speedo? Was going to retain the factory speedo to keep it correct.

For standard(ish) spec an 'off the shelf' type chip is £50, if you want custom mapped then drop me a PM and we can discuss.

mgh297
Don't know what chip it was, it was unmarked. It was set up for rich fuelling almost from tickover at low and medium loads, very odd.

No prob, drop me a line whenever suits you. Cheers

Yes, he did. Was a boost controller fit and chip job plus sorted out some issues with vac leaks, TPS, coolant temp connector etc.

Cool, glad it's all OK.

Alright Mike. Everything OK on Saturday on the way back? Did you try some 5th gear runs?

how to remove the ABS?
I've taken mine off and put some residual pressure valves in to try and stop knock back, I'll try to find the pics.

Doolz or ECU
From emerald direct, they're based in norfolk. Should be possible to re-use the existing loom, was going to make a conversion harness at one time, be pretty simple.

Doolz or ECU
Depends what you want to do with it. Stock ECU will be fine in most applications, but rather than a doolz I'd go for to MAFs and an SAFC or similar to average the signal. If you're changing the cams, go for an aftermarket ECU as progression and idle can be tricky to get right on the stock ECU. Emerald ECU is ~£550+VAT

Nissan's 350Z engine isn't a Renault sourced one.
What's it matter? Renault have always made pretty good engines anyway.

play in steering
Easy with the engine out! Probably be a real bugger with it in though.

play in steering
The Z does have the rubber ring, I replaced mine with a steel disk to loose the play. They even have play from new.

Roll cages... Again!
About a grand for a fully welded in multi point like I'm having.

John Dixon, eat your heart out!....
Ya know, somehow I just don't feel jealous!

Apexi FC Commander
You could fit an emerald ECU and run MAP based load sites for less than that, ECU is ~550+VAT then need a new trigger wheel in the CAS and adapt the existing wiring loom.

No prob mate! How, I'm just really, really sad!! Drop me a line whenever bud. Smithy does good prices on that stuff.

Suspension Kit
GB look unlikely to be honest, will never get the numbers for any sort of discount off them. I should think you can upgrade later to the race ones, the housings etc should be the same, just a piggybacked cannister to add.

James, 40mm Nitron, eibach are +£95 Soon!! Cheers John

Suspension Kit
3-Way I think :D To me, handling is the most important aspect of any car so I want to be able to get it right.
-
Suspension Kit
Mark, I'll let you know! Tizer, I have one - just as soon as I can get it running!!!!
-
Suspension Kit
Basically, yes, 3 way is better. Particularly on the road IMO as you can use the low speed bump / rebound to adjust body control then the high speed to setup how it rides over the bumps. It ain't that hard to set up - as long as you have a good feel for your car then you'll be able to adjust it. You'll get it 90% of the way there very quickly then just fine tune it to suit your taste.

Suspension Kit
James, I'll find out, being mono tube it'll be outer diameter - wall thickness, pretty big! Think eibach is £95 more, will check. Unless we get a GB, can just order individually whenever suits. Cheers
