gone through red light! - have to have fine?
TBH im yet to see that happen, and if it does, im sure any decent lawyer would get it thrown out of court due to not meeting ACPO guidlines.

Septembers meet
Guys and Girls Ive been asked by Steve 300zx to provide photos of one of our meets for the next yearly calender. Now obviously i would like to get as many cars and people together so we can have a outstanding contribution to the calender. Now i know some people have raised concerns about the location of some recent meets, so i will leave it to you to decide what sort of area you want septembers meet to be in (see poll) Once the area has been decided then i will do my best to find somewhere scenic for us to have a decent set of photos to contribute to the calender, whilst maybe having a large BBQ with some fun and games thrown in. I would really appriciate some input into this guys, id love to get as many as the SC crew together as possible, so now is the time to have your say. All the best Nick

Which tyres are on your Z
Ive got Falken 452s on mine atm, and im quiet impressed. Plenty of grip, but they dont give alot of feed back on the limit. My choice will always be Bridgestone SO-2's. By far the best tyre on the market IMHO

Fixed 1 promblem but found 2 more
Have you had a plenum water bypass done? or EGR?
-
plenum bypass
i think the hardest bit is going to be round a AIV at the rear passanger side of the car, even with the battery out, space is extemely tight because of the loom and the other vacuum pipes around there. I just hope for your sake that all the clips on the water pipes are at such and angle you can get a set of thin nose pliers on, otherwise its going to be out with the stanley blade and ALOT of patience. Best of luck to you mate

VG30DETT in a mid engine kitcar
That fuel rail is a niiiiiiice bit of kit
-
plenum bypass
Itll be bloody difficult. You certainly wont be able to get rid of all the pipe work as its bolted to the underneath of the plenum. TBH your making work very diffcult keeping the plenum in

So i've picked up a 300ZX thats been sitting...
The tappet noise is the hydraulic lifters mate. They have small holes in which get easily blocked, hence the tapping. You shouldnt need to use treatments, when you change the oil drain it and keep the old filter on. Top up the oil to the Min mark and the dipstick and run the engine for a few minutes to get it up to temp. Drain again and change the filter for the new one and fill up the oil as per usual. This should pull out the majority of the built up crap from having old oil floating around for some time. Do a search on here for the online workshop manual, and download the PDF file. It has 99% of the stuff you will need to know on how to work on the cars.

Front brakes sqeaking again!!!
If your planning on keeping the car, pop down to A.R.E motor factors in Farnham with the calipers. They do an excellent job on full refurbs on calipers, with all new seals and teflon coated pistons and sliders etc. My best mate recently had a set of subaru 4pots done and they did an ace job
