Company Car
When was the last time they made a good looking car???? I used to hate BMW's with a passion, but since jodie has been getting a company car, and you get over the look of the car, as a company car and something for spending alot of time in, they extremely competant cars. TBH bar the RS line up, i hate most VAG cars more than beemers. Anyway, you cant say nothing,... Jag X type, the WORST jag ever made!!!!!

Company Car
BMW 1 SERIES D HATCHBACK 123D M SPORT 2000 5dr MAN 2006 Its still a 2 litre diesel, but as apposed to the 120d, the 123d is a 2.0 twin turbo. We've had one for the last 4 months, and it flies!!! The m sport seats are much comfier than the se seats. If you wana come try one marco, jodie can sort one of for you

Rear offset
Cheers dave, thats cleared that up. Dont suppose you know what offset he's running on the front?

Rear offset
Cheers guys, i remember there was a thread that Si put on about what offset MclarenF1kids car was running, which i couldnt find for love nor money. The main reason i ask is that i have another photo of his car which shows he is running spacer (below) The thing is i dont know if this is a front or rear wheel. If it was a rear with a +38 offset running a 20 mil spacer, then im guessing a +18 with no spacer would be safe... And yes im running +18 on the fronts

Rear offset
Guys, Just in the process of making the final choice on my new wheels. Ive sorted the sizing on the front, but im struggling the figure out whats the most extreme offset i can go on the rear. The problem with the type of wheel im going for i only have 2 options for the 10 inch wide rear wheel. They are: +18 +38. This is the look im after: Now do i go for the +18 and run the risk that the offset is too aggressive, (or end up with an insanely stanced car) or do i play it safe and go for the +38 and just wack some spacers on to fill the gaps Your suggestions please

Model Variations - Is this right?

Virginia Water Meet Sun 26th October, up for it?
An excellent turn out for todays meet. Stated of it was pissing down, but it eventually stopped. I personally counted 19 zeds, 3 GTO's and a Prof's RX7. Yet again, Kudos and well done topless for organising this!!! Heres my pics and one vid of Marco and Anthene going past whilst we had a small play on the motorway on the way home.

Do you get disheartened with your Z?
dont forget your talking to a class 1 advanced driver mate ;) The amount of people who i meet that dont know how to get a car to slide, never mind prevent and control one is unreal! (not that im tarring you with that brush :x:)

Who run what in their Zs right now (chip related)
stock internals and tubs mate. Thats precisely what i want. Im certainly not interested in chasing figures. Driveability is key for me, hence why i want a custom map as apposed to a "popular" one. The reason im uprating the above, i want everything to have a a comfortable margin away from their limit. As you well know intercoolers and injectors are soooo very close to 100% at 1 bar, which i dont want them to be. The other mods are hopefully to aid the drivability factor, keep the throttle reponse sharp, and hopefully give me the linear power delivery i want

Who run what in their Zs right now (chip related)
I dont know what you have mate, So far ive done Induction Kit (Stillen) Larger throttle bodys down pipes and decats Kakimoto exhaust RPS clutch One piece lightened fly wheel AMS Rad Hard pipes To be done Z1 side mount intercoolers 620cc Injectors (Nismo 555's but im on the later style injectors, so they flow 620) Adjustable fuel pressure regulator AMS lightened pully kit Electronic Boost Controller Once these are on, then ill get JD to map it for me. Not aiming for max bhp, i want throttle response as quick as i can get it, mid range punch and a linear delivery. then ill be happy

Who run what in their Zs right now (chip related)
From memory mate, the difference is huge. Makes for a completely different driving experience
-
Who run what in their Zs right now (chip related)
Neither, but when i have the supporting mods i want, ill be employing JD to do a custom map for me

Do you get disheartened with your Z?
your not giving enough beans then. Every zed ive driven is easy to break traction, especially in the wet

Collinite - Anyone used it?
I was going to go for a Porter Cable, but i couldnt be arsed with the hassle of the transformer, so i went for a Megs G220. Its done me proud so far, take a look at my rides and youll see what i mean

Collinite - Anyone used it?
Looks good matey, where did you source it from. At the moment im still using Megs #80 and #83 combo. Bought some Swissvax Onyx last month. Im due to machine the zed again in the next week or so (depends when my mates barn is free again) and ill let you know how it goes. Have a read of this, the collinite does bloody well! http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=76435
