SMW1's top gear challenge
You now have the have a Flourescent jacket, first aid kit and a reflective hazard triangle, which i think im right in thinking the last two is standard equipment in the boot of the beemer (i know it has been for the last 4 years). You also need a Green Card as well

The question is..... Is it JUST the size of the discs on the 300zx that make the whole set up so shite?

Funny you should ask that. i used other peoples cars:mac1: My mate owns a classic restoration place, so has alot of scap pannels lying around, so i started off on those. And to be honest its pretty easier than you think. As long as your patient and take your time, youll have no worries. Take a read of this as well, it helped me understand the principles at the very least http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=63859 Cheers for all your kind comments guys

I know, theyve been like that since i bought it and it bugs the hell out of me, buts its the next thing on the list of things to do;). Cant decide whether to go satin black or use that plasticoat stuff I did my best with cling film to cover up the coilpack and injector connectors, and then used small amounts of APC with the slimest nylon paint brush i could get my hands on to agitate it, and carefully rinsed. Seemed to work nicely Here you are bud, its a liquid based polish as opposed to the wax ones like megs nxt tech metal polish and rimwax. you only need a tiny amount on a bit of soft cloth and it spreads really nicely http://www.britemax.com/easycut.html http://www.britemax.com/finalshine.html Yeah, mine are the series 1 siennas. Theyre pretty wheel but a royal pita to keep clean! Someone obviously forgot to tell the sprayman when they got round to painting mine. Its a series 4, so i was expecting it to be plain old gloss. Sod knows what was going on there. But like i said earlier, its not an obvious metallic black. When you put mine and marcos side by side, his is so obviously metallic and mine "looks" gloss, its only close up in direct like can you see the metallic flecks

Marcos is deffo metallic. When ours are side by side, you can see the difference even from a distance
-

As far as im aware its never been resprayed. Its nowhere near as metallic as say yours and marco's, but under direct light, as you can see, its got a deffinate metallic fleck in the paint

Guys and Gals, Ive spent the last few days completing a detail and full paint correction on my zed. Unfortunatly, due to forum rules, i can only post 10 images at at time. So instead, here is a link to the write up i have posted on there http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=94427 Enjoy Nick

Thought id share this with you guys
This is a letter that was sent by an Off Duty Senior Paramedic following an incident that one of my colleague and I dealt with, and I thought i'd share this with you. Being in the position where i can make this sort of difference to someones life is why i joined the job
