  1. when you clean your car you really clean your car
  2. yep i had that in my z originally, no problems with it, however i changed it over to a well known map that i knew the fueling would be ok
  3. just remove the wood at the top you will then see the catch/lever use a chisel or screwdriver and hey presto
  4. you know if there kurbed, it normally means they fell off the back of a lorry :p only joking vijay
  5. most stupid thing i done :p well fixing up a peeling dash as we all know they all do it, so i get's me piece of wood in a cheese wedge shape. place glue along peeled dash and begin to wedge the dash down between the glass and the dash, the next thing i hear is crack and the window goes, no insurance cover so i forked out £200 for a new windscreen :slap: you can find the post if you do a search it was well over a year ago
  6. its perfectly normal for the revs to sit high when cold, this will be the IAA unit controlling the air going through it, once up to temp the valve opens, this is when idle will settle to around 8-900rpm which ideal  best thing to do is use the links top of page, enter andyp's site and look on there there is tons of invaluable info on how to, and find a cure for your hunting idle, it can be one of a few thing's including a air leak, so to establish problem you need to fault find first, start with the easiest  and work through

  9. nice job there looks nice, agreed on the plain black mesh would look good what colour is your car?
  10. happy birthday mark
  11. i can honestly say my red z i had originally, never gave me fault, apart from a starter motor, and i could still push it in gear until it turned the flywheel a tooth or 2 on, then it would start :nono: :D as i work on them for a living, i see the best and worst of them, however same as any car if there looked after and maintained they wil last for years, as your's has rich must be red 300s that are better
  12. iv had 5 bmw's e30 320i e34 318i this one overheated in long traffic it had 170k on the clock not bad for a little 4pot e36 320i e46 318i 1.9 e28 525i not once did any of them let me down
  13. whys that high miles? approx 8k miles a year from new just becareful, make sure if the engine was rebuilt, make sure you know what was replaced, a well looked after 300 should go until 200,000 miles, however most don't due to neglect and abuse etc
  14. wastegate actuator plug the other two you are holding is o2&vvt leads
  15. whilst its connected up, have you checked for spark or fuel, it might determine what the problem may be, when your hooking up the wires to the ECU check the wire your using back from the main harness for any wires that have been added to the loom? i still think wireing is incorrect.. a)wrong pins to the ECU b)alarm if you have followed the instruction's from the apexi rsm manual, i would consider following a simple colour chart, theres one on the forum if you do a search! greg
  16. how much did cost approx andy?
  17. yes me, what alarm have you got? secondly, do you have any lights on the dash when you turn the key to position 2?
  18. no its not worth replacing the valves, these are made of a very strong metal known as iconical, or something like that :p replace the injector connectors, and clean the connections to each injector, it can make a massive differance to how the car will run, if they are in a bad way if you mean all the water pipes, then you can do a full upper intake bypass, by directing the coolant to each turbo rather than all the fiddly hoses under the intake do a search on how to, as its difficult to explain by text cheers
  19. i take it you have taken the RPM feed from the ECU? i would imagine if you have an alarm fitted it may be interfering with the wireing check and make sure you are connecting the correct wires to the correct pin outs on the ECU
