  3. not very good pic of the bores what mark are you on about? weisco iv seen several circlip failures i wouldnt use them personally but thats me, is the bore scored? as for idler the marks look like belt rub and has left it on the idler, iv seen lots like this and not normally a problem, if its new does it spin freely without any noise, if its fault it could potentially strip the belt.
  4. firstly any transmission noise is normally caused by a split or poorly fitted gator/s, you have 2 under your gearlever if they split you will get noises coming up from the transmission tunnel. clunking is normally either as said gearbox mount split/damaged, best way to check is to get under car and check for any play in the box itself, also whilst your checking your gators check the gearshift bushing's if they are worn it could also transmit rattles/vibes through the gearlever/centre section.Normally assoaciated with sloppy gearchanges though and lever wobbling about if play is excessive. clunking at low speed whilst accelerating normally points to worn tension rod bushes, however i think its more likely transmission mount, when was the fluid last changed? i would get it up and have a looky mate, its very difficult to explain noises etc unless you can witness it, start with simple things like remove centre section and check gators/gearshift bushings, do a search theres a how to on here somewhere. greg ps..il send that out tommorrow for you ;)
