  1. VOLVOS !!! :shock: :D :eek: I'd be up for that then :hyper:
  2. Does it matter that our cars (my car probably), may be in less than perfect condition at that point in time. Rusty arches and wheels in need of a refurb :(
  3. It's a VW Polo.............he'll blow the doors off! :rofl::rofl:
  4. Agreed, very nice ...............I wanna set :cry:
  5. Hi all, My son wants to upgrade the original front door speakers in his 1995 VW Polo. Can someone suggest a decent set of budget priced 170mm speakers? All he wants to do is improve the sound quality, nothing fancy required. :D Thank you - Andy
  6. Hello and welcome :)

    Berrica (Andy) has Datascan - I'm sure that if you speak nice to him ........:)
  10. Hi Si, The door speakers are JBL's, the rear are Pioneers - neither have been touched recently. I'll backtrack my work and see if I've disturbed something. I don't suppose that there's a speaker/amplifier fuse is there?
  11. Ok, I've now had the chance to put the head unit from my daily drive into the Zed.........still no sound. The head unit from the Zed works when put into the Primera (daily drive). Sooooo, there's something amiss in the Zed. I've been working the rear quarters and had the rear seats out, the trim panels off and the carpet peeled back - is there anything in that area that I may have disturbed which could cause loss of sound, like an amplifier module??
  12. I've never had a head unit pack in before, wouldn't it give any warning of beginning to pack in or is it just sudden death? :mad:
  13. Hi all, All of a sudden, I'm getting no sound from my speakers in the Zed - apart from a "pop" when the head unit is switched on. There is power to the head unit, everything works ok - tuner and cd, all the lights on, but not a peep out of it. I've pulled the head unit out, fiddled with the connections but to no avail - still silent. When my laddie comes home I'll try the head unit out of his car but until then ...............any ideas? :confused: Thanks in advance - Andy
  14. Excellent !! :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    Hi, Sorry to hijack your thread Clownpants but in a previous post of yours, you mentioned an NA Auto in a Kirkcaldy scrappy. Which scrappy would that be, as I might need a cheap electric aerial. Cheers - Andy
  23. Thanks for this thread people, it brightened up a cr@p day. :rofl::rofl:
