  1. Looks like it's going to be on Channel 5 in Feb.
  2. I understand why SOME people need to buy several times as much food as usual because they probably have big family meals, but not why ALL people seem to buy more, what happens to it all, it can't possibly all get eaten and the shops are open again on the 26/27th anyway. I had the misfortune of going to Tesco last night (which I hate anyway), I left it until about 9:30 and it was just like a normal morning, except that all the shelf stackers were working which meant that all the aisles were blocked with cages of stock, seriously, they needed a one-way system and traffic lights.
  3. Feet up for Xmas then - lets hope the telly is worth watching !
  4. I have used Lepsons a couple of times and they were fine. may not be the cheapest, but the do collect/deliver as well.
  5. 350Z discs and calipers with 17" wheels yes. I had Skyline wheels on mine though.
  6. I'm slightly less concerned about your history being stored, that is basically done already, they are just making it legal. What concerns me more is about how and where that data is stored, who has access to it, how it is protected from all the inventive hackers out there, who controls access to the information, how it is encrypted, who approves access to it, how it is deleted/destroyed once it is no longer needed etc.
  7. AM DB5 Cerebra Matra Murena Any real classic Citroen Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  8. Good news ! Really pleased that it wasn't as bad as was first indicated.
  9. This kinda thing works ok. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DIL-IC-Chip-Extractor-Puller-Removal-Tool-for-8-40pin-devices-DIP-EPROM-/331625607418?hash=item4d366d30fa
  10. And as I can't find a user called LiZony then I assume she hasn't created it yet and when she does we will manually mark it as subscribed.
  11. Th4e reason I ask is that I just saw two payments against your account, neither was obviously attributable to your sisters account, so I may have to fix that manually.
  12. Trish, did the Paypal part work correctly for you ? All I see is two payments for yourself, do we need to fix this manually ?
  13. It was just linked from my site.
  14. Yeah, a couple, mixed success, they are filled with a clear silicon type goo which I guess is mainly to dampen vibration and perhaps to even out temperature differentials between the parts. There is a web page out there somewhere explaining what to do. Used to be on my site (now pretty dead), but either the Aus Tech site or Google will probably find it these days.
  15. The ECU is well made, plus the solder is lacquered over anyway. I have chipped dozens of them I have never seen any reason to touch anything internally, with the exception of the chip being changed.
  16. I think it is vibration that kills them, given that it's a physical wire that becomes detached inside.
  17. Yep, and I still have a significant scar because of it.
  18. Oh and if you get them the wrong way round it buggers the chip !
  19. The notch in the end of the chip matches the notch in the socket. So in your pic they are both orientated correctly.
  20. I'm not sure they will ever have that raw, low-tech, classic appeal that the early Z's have, but who knows, maybe in another few years they will look like a low-tech car in comparison with what is left around.
  21. If it really is carbon on there - caustic soda. Don't use it on anything aluminium !
  22. Not a big fan of red cars but I could change my mind for that one.
