  1. Ha, so just for fun ... a witch would use a spell checker, a writer a spelling checker (unless you believe US/Microsoft that is!) :)
  2. So if you have waterless coolant, there will be no pressure and it doesn't matter what rad cap you have. Hence no hoses to split under pressure. Just a thought ....
  3. Dream on. Neither will they relent on funny fonts, background images or anything else that hinders automated plate recognition. Until every car has a long range readable RFID tag or similar ....
  4. Happy Birthday Mike.
  5. I watched some of it, and it just felt to me like they were trying really hard to make it the same as before. If it was the same that is not a terrible thing, just the fact that they made it look difficult not easy, which is how the old one appeared. Ultimately, it's about the chemistry, not the cars.
  6. I think the is the least offensive wide arch I've ever seen. So, that is as close as I will ever get to a recommendation ! ;)
  7. Standard, 350Z discs, yes. Are they 345mm, for some reason I had 320/319mm in my head, but it's been a while. The other obvious thing of course is that they don't fit under standard wheels, I used 17" Skyline wheels, which I felt suited the style of the car quite well.
  8. On the fronts it is dead simple, you need to increase the size of the bolt mounting hole from 12mm to 14mm (IIRC). Oh and ensuring you have the correct hose fittings. The rears are a whole different story -mucho hassle.
  9. Actually, yes, it does make quite a noticable difference.
  10. What FunkySi said .... oh, he hasn't posted yet ? I'm sure he will ! :)
  11. All the early ECUs are 8 bit, it's only something like 1995 onwards that are 16bit. The 16bit ones are not generally tunable/chipable, or rather they are but there are very few options around. Many people have put 8bit ECUs into newer cars with no problem. I have no idea what happens if you put a 16bit ECU in an old car.
  12. Did we just pay you something? Seriously though, thanks.
  13. They get this corroded in Portugal as well ?
  14. There are a few and they rely on abrasive paper (wet'n'dry I'd guess, not sandpaper!), and a couple of grades of finishing compound. So the approach is perfectly valid, the result will like many things depend upon preparation, perseverance and patience.
  15. Love seeing imperial measures in metric fractions ! Although, to be fair, you have also managed to get millimetres in there too. :)
  16. Given the probably unburnt fuel in the cats, then it's ignition, and as all cylinders fail then it's almost certainly PTU, could be CAS, but as it starts again when cooler, probably PTU.
  17. Only last week someone I know was "advised" to replace her tyres at £90 each, because they only had 3-4mm of tread left. That alone is bad enough as they tyres were only half worn, but the "real" price for the tyres in other places was only about £61. Fortunately, she declined.
  18. It's rather easy to install a hooky version of 7 and then go through the 10 upgrade - you then have a kosher 10 for free ! That's what I was told anyway ...
  19. Am I the only one who is just a little bit excited about this ? New X-Files in just one week from now !
  20. No pictures yet ? I need to do a quality check you know ...
  21. Not during the day, may be Saturday though.
  22. Yes, certainly am, even though I'd not driven it for ages.
