  1. Would probably be ok, but it would be safer to try another hard disk first I reckon.
  2. About 80k miles I think
  3. You get the greatest (and cheapest) increase from raising the bost, but in order to be safe you should get the chip done as well.
  4. There is a big difference between a working fast road box and a half knackered standard auto box. No substitute for a manual though ... LOL :D
  5. The head gasket is a weak spot on these cars, do the usual checks for oil in the water, water level and mayonaise in the oil filler. Citroen electrics are also dodgy with one of the worst items being the ignition switch - they tend to run all the current through it with virtually no relays - result burnt out contacts. Was it smoke or steam that came out the bonnet ? 150K miles is nothing for one of these engines (head gasket permitting). People often talk about them having 75-100K more life in them at that stage. If the clutch and headgasket last then they go on forever, that's why so many get used as private taxis.
  6. So that sounds like a Stillen upgrade, rather than an OEM mod. Like you said though, it is possible that there is something different about the core, but to all intents and purposes the two radiators look externally identical.
  7. Bugger, I paid nearly double that ! However, they did replace all the O-rings, which cost about £50 from Nissan.
  8. I had my injectors cleaned, wasn't cheap but at least I know they are all atomising properly now.
  9. Some people report this problem but I've never found out what causes it. An alternative solution is to log in to Paypal and send the money manually, then I'll update your sub record manually.
  10. UK model has a diff cooler, Jap one does not.
  11. Doubt it. I'm even dubious about how this would work with an ultrasonic keyfob. Voice down a mobile phone is hugely compressed and concentrates on just the frequencies required, higher or lower than normal speech are unlikely to be transmitted to the other end at all. Standard modem frequencies would probably go, but ultrasonic .... I dunno ....
  12. I was planning on going, but if no one is turing up ....
  13. How far away were you ? Is it possible that the keyfob was in range ? Is your keyfob ultrasonic or RF ?
  14. Because your body is acting as an antenna.
  15. I ran approx 12psi for a year on a Jap ECU and it was absolutely fine. A uprated chip will give you better performance and safer running conditions though.
  16. This may work if your key fob uses ultrasonic, can't see how it would work with radio frequency and definitely won't work with infared.
  17. They need to check that SORN'd cars are actually off the public road.
  18. Oil coolers are definitely different, UK one is about 3x the size.
  19. Me, it was just crying out for it ! ;)
  20. Well either they disguise it bloody well or I was sent another Jap rad ...
  21. I had a Jap manual rad in my car and I bought a UK manual rad because I thought they had a larger surface area, as it turned out they were identical. Doh!
  22. You have to attend court if they are considering a ban, that would not be applied in your absence.
  23. I have 350Z fronts on mine and they work great. I might be interested in doing a deal with someone who only wants those fronts from Jeff.
  24. Outwardly it looks like a pretty straightforward repair to me.
