  1. I've had a ConZult for a few years and it has been really useful on mine and a stack of other peoples' cars. I have seen a Datascan and was impressed by some features. May be tempted to buy one of those as well .... Isn't there a free tool as well that just needs a clever cable made up ?
  2. Do you mean just now, or a couple of days ago ?
  3. The speed sensor signal effectively goes 'through' the clocks, or perhaps the clocks are the first drop-off point. Assuming that your speed sensitive steering etc are still working, then I think you can assume that the signal is getting to the ECU and that the problem is in the clocks somewhere.
  4. It may be worth resoldering every joint in the back of the speedo, I did that for someone and it seemed to fix it. Obviously, cleaning all the connections is a good thing to do too.
  5. Sort of really true. We have had enquires at work from the FBI due to someone visiting a site in Korea ! We had to provide details from our log files. These days we block 'bad' sites using stuff like WebWasher, the real point here is that you shouldn't leave yourself open to misuse. And whatever you do, stay away from the 'watch' list ! ;)
  6. Agreed, but the fact that you have 'attempted' so secure it given the protocols available is better than doing nothing. Also, whileWEP is not as secure as WPA etc, it's not that bad. How many people do you know who have actually cracked a WEP code and I mean really know, not just people who read that theoretically it can be done ?
  7. S'funny, I thought everyone had one already ! ;)
  8. The real reason that you should lock down your wireless is that someone could use it to do something illegal. For example there are certain websites, typically child porn but not always, that are watched by the Police/FBI. They log the IP address that visits, go to the ISP and say, "tell me who had this IP at this time". Then they go visit ! If you can't prove it's not you, then you're gonna have a difficult time. In security terminology this is called non-repudiation.
  9. Shouldn't do if the screws are done up. Could be a problem with the electrical connection to it though - broken wires, dirty plug etc ....
  10. OK, the word is out, you should now have mod rights over the SE and National sections. Welcome !
  11. ... arrived on 10th October. No reference, no name .... own up please.

You could go to the Barley Mow, at Tyttenhanger though, which is just outside St Albans.

Bah ! I'm in Devon that weekend ....
  14. Just thought about this again, and there were definitely the blue pearl metallics available for UK models, AndrewG and PaulC have them.
  15. Yes, the paint codes are common to Nissan worldwide. As mentioned above, Mike, or any friendly Nissan main dealer, can, if they want to be helpful, order you the touchup colours.
  16. Ahh, maybe Jason should have told me to update your rights, or maybe I should be more psychic ! Just wait a see for a day or so. Also, I'd be up for a Thurrock meet, time permitting etc.
  17. The first Z I looked as was a UK spec pearl yellow (well at least I thought it was at the time). As far as I know it was only available on the very early cars, in/around 1989.
  18. Yes, your subscription ended yesterday. You should have got an automated reminder, however, if your registered email address has changed or it got trapped in your spam filter then you may not have received it.
  19. You 100% certain about that ? I've seen one.
  20. For some reason this didn't happen automatically, can't quite work out why, have done it manually anyhow ...
  21. The Chinese seem to be fearsome gamblers. The local bookie is always full of the guys from the Chinese restaurants and takeaways.
  22. So who you gonna vote for ? :D
