  1. Usually best way is to get the plate on retention. It's all fairly straightforward and a couple of seconds on google will take you here http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/PersonalisedRegAndNumberPlates/DG_4022575 Once you have the plate on retention it's much easier to sell and you have a year before you have to extend it. As far as a valuation is concerned why not just look at ebay etc and see similar plates for a guide. Again let us know the number and you may get some offers here :)
  2. lol Pete you're a hard man. Hi Paul yes it is a Twinz rear :)
  3. My car should be ready by the middle of next week and since I'm kinda hoping it's going to be quick I've decided to give it a shake down at Silverstone new GP circuit on Saturday 12th :) I haven't got my wheels yet so keeping fingers crossed my new wheels will be here but one way or another the slicktop will be at the track. So if any of you guys fancy a run around the circuit seeing how you fare against the likes of radicals and various other proper race cars it would be great to see you. Here's the chance to see if your big horsepower car can cut it at the track so I'm hoping I won't be on my own flying the zed flag :devil2: I will of course have the best looking car there IMO of course :) here's a link if anyone's up for it http://www.goldtrack.co.uk/
  4. This is what the dyno graph looks like. Only running 1 bar of boost too :) Not only that I reckon it's gotta weigh 3 or 4 hundred kilos less than my red one :) yes it is a hub dyno but pretty good figures I think :cool3:
  5. lol well here's a link to AME and a few more pix of the car which they will update on their page :)
  6. Sorry to hear that Nick. Was just talking with pete last night and we were looking forward to meeting up with cars. You'll have to jump in mine with me for now mate :)
  7. another pic of the seats. Hoping wheels will be here in a couple of weeks :)
  8. Yes I'm really happy. Despite the fact that I rebuilt the engine and suspension on the red one it never seemed like my project. This one does and though it might not seem like it at times I am on a limited budget. I asked Dan to heat wrap the loom as I've had a few problems with heat damage to wiring in the past. Also I know Pete did a little extra work to it as well. The heat wrap is fairly standard stuff i think Pete you're a star! And hasn't Gary done a great job with the paint and new panels. It's precisely what I was hoping for in the looks department. And once we've repaired the exhaust blow I've asked Dan to raise the boost back up to 1.2 bar same as before.
  9. It looks a fantastic car and I've been keeping my eye on this one for a while. I definitely think it will be top dog in horse power terms :) I'm looking forward to seeing it being used in anger :thumbup1:
  10. An update. I dropped off the car at Gary's on Friday and discussed paint and bodywork. I am going with the Nissan pearl white and keeping pretty much all the original sway lines etc. Only real changes are 99 spec bumper and rear lights and the Twinz rear. I had to go to Stockport to pick up two roller shutter doors for the zed garages and Pete kindly put me up for the night on the way. I was supposed to buy him a takeaway but he ended up buying for me lol. We had long discussions about what to do with the zed and have a fair picture of the finished product now. We're hoping that the car will hit Pete's early January where he will do the interior and some further fettling before taking it back to Dan's who was unable to properly finish off engine set up. Assuming my wheels arrive in Feb it should be fully ready for the road mid Feb as a finished project :) I'll have to let Pete take it up the strip while I'm gonna take it to Silverstone. Having said that, it's so much smaller and lighter than the red one maybe Cadwell Park would be good too :)
  11. Hey Nick how's it going mate? Getting some new wheels from Japan in Feb. Am not going to stretch the arches though a little roll will do just in case it's needed. I see the V8 is making progress too :)
  12. Yes it is. Same engine managed 504 rwhp and we never run it with the NOS on the dyno. Not going to run more boost as I want to keep it reasonably reliable :)
  13. When it's finished I will drive it most weekends and will definitely go to some meets :)
  14. It's looking unlikely with current gearing. Was looking at 6 speed gearbox but I don't have the clearance to fit anything bigger. We will calculate theoretical top speed with what we've got but it might mean doing something to the existing gearing to make it. Still on the agenda and while it's being re-sprayed and at Pete's me and Dan will be discussing the final steps.
  15. Managed 583 at the hubs on 16 psi. I'm pretty pleased with that. Only minor problem is that it blew a gasket on the manifolds lol. Soon sort that I hope. Am taking it to Gary for respray tomorrow. I gotta say I think it's going to be a bloody handful as it's so light but I'm really looking forward to taking it out big time :)
  16. First run on the dyno - sounds good I think :) back on the dyno tomorrow to complete the fettling
  17. Won't be back on the road properly this year as I think respray will take up to xmas and then Pete has got a few bits to do so maybe a new year present lol. I'm in no particular hurry tbh.
  18. engine in with some cooling
  19. my guages are fitted now here's a link http://www.facebook.com/pages/Silverstone-United-Kingdom/Advanced-Motorsport-Engineering/105250384258?v=app_2392950137&ref=ts#!/video/video.php?v=10150336399355089&oid=105250384258&comments
  20. So why don't you put a bid on jaffa32's bits and build yourself a really nice engine :)
  21. The point is suspension can be too firm for the road because it's not flat and smooth like the track. Monoflex may well prove to be difficult to drive fast on the road as you'll spend more time flying :)
  22. I have got Tein super street and can assure you that they're not too firm at all. I have kept them on my car and am happy that they are a good compromise between track and road.
