  1. Are you after those lightweight 18" RAYS that I've got on the shortie at the moment mate? They've got Pirelli P Zero 275/35/18's on the rear and brand new (not even done 30 miles yet) Falken 225/40/18's on the front Off the top of my head the width/offsets are 8.5" front (ET +38) and 9.5" rear (ET +33) or offset the other way round, either way they fit fine? I took the centre caps off so that the local scroat bags don't rob them but I've got all 4 ready to go back on here are some quick pics (excuse the quality they were taken with my phone) so are we talking carbon prop here then?
  2. Again I'm not intending to cause offence and not meaning to comment on the way that Zedworld go about their business (ie. advertising and selling parts) but just throwing some ideas about here. I agree that maybe it's worth reconsidering the 'selling on ebay' option Z32 parts (brakes/AFMs etc) have always been on the 'want' list of many drifting 'S' body owners and it makes sense to me that Zedworld could tap into that market as well, and even offer up Zedworld's services to that particular community it's only a matter of time before the zed breaks into the drift market and is seen as a viable alternate to their regular skid chariots and with so many Zed TT's going so cheap these days it makes sense 198bhp 'S' body or 300bhp Z32 TT from the factory (hmnn, let me think?) and it's already been highlighted on DW that the zed's chassis is comparable to that of the R33 GTS-t, so another possible avenue to explore in the future
  3. Can anyone confirm if the zed's oil filter is M20 x 1.5? thanks
  4. Ok so no way of running AN connectors off it, just oil temp sensors etc bugger!
  5. An old thread but looking at playing with the oil coolers and bits over the next few days so I'd appreciate some advice on a few things please (1) Does this part (below) fit to the block where the oil filter is usually located (2) and would I then run an AN connectors/braided hose off it..... (3) to this part (below) with oil filter fitted, and run AN fitting/braided hose to one side of the oil cooler...... (4) and then run an AN connector/braided hose from the other side of the oil cooler back to the original part attached to the block? or have I got that completely wrong????
  6. Do you fancy doing a deal on whichever you don't use bud?
  7. Unfortunately no....it looks more like the one above it it's crying out for a VG transplant though :punk: ultimate sleeper!!
  8. Nah, not got any markings on it other than the usual 'Fairlady' on the back and 'Z' on the nose panel mate I haven't really seen any zeds around that area that I can recall I remember about 3 years ago, I was standing on the roof of an office block, and I heard a few blatantly monstrous beasts of cars go screaming across the roundabout and headed off in the Tidworth direction, one of the Japspeed cars, a Skyline and what I thought was 'my' RX7 lagging behind!! I'll probably be down that neck of the woods next week if you're up for a brew mate
  9. I'm down there most weeks on business, in my black shortie' TT usually around the Weyhill area but pop into Andover every now and again
  10. Stick a cover over it and wait until the summer! and if you need a car mate, I've got a tidy low mileage import Nissan Wingroad estate (similar size to Astra estate) that I'm gonna' be putting on ebay shortly starting price of only £700 automatic 1.5ltr engine with fantastic fuel economy, with full 12 months MOT, new tyres and only 50'odd thousand on the clock
  11. ^^^^^^ he sounds really dodgy to me :tongue_smilie: no but seriously, Baz' explaination seems more than reasonable to me and he's clearly a very trustworthy guy (which is more than can be said for a select few on here, lets be honest) Is there no room for flexibility with regards to number of 'Traders' in this regard?
  12. Fair one mate.....so which one are you selling to me?
  13. Is there fuel in it? in all seriousness, I'm not taking the mick, I had this with my old Freelander, the fuel gauge stuck and I thought that I had 1/4 of a tank but it was in fact empty.....I only realised when I got one of the lads in work to take a look at it
  14. This thread has made me think quite a bit more about the whole issues highlighted here I can see the justification (and reasoning) behind having a single paid up 'Trader' who specialises in a specific type of item (ie. chrome bits, fibreglass bits etc) but I'll be honest, I'm struggling to see how a single 'Trader' can claim the right to be the sole supplier of secondhand OEM parts this isn't a dig at Zedworld at all, so don't take it as such, but the more I think about it the more I feel that it's pretty bloody daft accepting the fact that subscribed members are well within their rights to sell secondhand parts on the forum, be it that the parts originate from their old cars/projects, breakers or otherwise Zedworld is a garage (one of just a few) that specialises in the zed and is held in high regard within the zed community the simple solution here, I feel, is to eleviate the issue of 'who's allowed to sell what' by simply doing away with the sole 'Trader' rights to selling secondhand OEM parts altogether otherwise we're talking about monopolising the secondhand market, and forcing people to go to a sole supplier, which is morally wrong at the end of the day, the vast majority of people I feel will continue to use Zedworld as their preferred supplier of used parts and will continue to entrust their zeds into their capable hands
  15. I think that all of the above valid comments from several perspectives pretty much sums up the problem here, and I for one can't see how it's going to be resolved at the end of the day a lot of members will try to get the parts that they need at the cheapest price (and rightly so), though it has been highlighted that in part the 'secret breakers' parts are no cheaper than others? I don't know if that is the case, but I can't see how anybody is going to be 'pinged' as a 'secret breaker' and in all honesty that kind of witch hunt will do nothing but cause animosity amongst members so in my opinion is best avoided I agree with the sticky idea as it makes sense, and as for the Zedworld website I haven't seen it for quite a while now, but maybe from my last experience maybe it could do with a fresh new look (I'm sure that there are plenty of guys and gals on here that would be more than willing to offer their personal constructive opinion on what improvements could be made) competative pricing is the only way that I can see this being resolved, after all it works in business. Cheaper parts with no warranty or support or Slightly more expensive parts with full warranty and support or better still cheaper parts with full warranty and support just my views on it
  16. That's the one mate, TT non cruise control (non airbag) here's a pic: I paid the same for it £45 + P&P and VAT comes to around £60 delivered from Zcentre how about £30 + £4 P&P (same P&P as zcentre charged me) I send it to you, you fit it and test it, and when you're happy just pay £34 in to Paypal If you're happy with that, I can get it sent out tomorrow morning mate
  17. The one I had off zcentre was for a TT without cruise control, in fact I've still got it up in the attic so will take some pics later. The horn works fine on both, and yeah I reckon removing the bulb will be the only real solution
  18. The HICAS light used to come on on the LWB, which had a Zcentre boss wired up and fitted. The one that's on the shortie' was already fitted so I'm not sure mate. I'm assuming that when the HICAS is binned completely the HICAS light will be illuminated continuously???
  19. When this is sorted will it be ok for the new 2012 MoT, because my HICAS warning light comes on every now and then when I'm driving and I've been told that it's because an aftermarket boss is fitted?
  20. I haven't seen this myself, but at the same time I don't need secondhand OEM parts so I probably wouldn't have looked at the guys for sale threads where they are trying to sell their breaker parts I see your point Jeff and understand that Zedworld have overheads and pay your taxes as a business, and I hope that for the sake of your business that something can be done, but having said that I think it's going to be a very difficult one to take control of and enforce, and at the end of the day if a subscribed member has paid his fees (300 forum and ebay) then he's entitled to sell his parts, and if those parts are from a breaker that he/she picked up on ebay then that's the way that it is unfortunately very murky water I feel
  21. Always interested in points of view, the zed's currently running a Koyo rad (edit: I've just remembered I've got a Greddy expansion tank in the attic....cheeers for the reminder bud) and there's an ARC oil cooler sat there waiting to be fitted, same with the vented bonnet but I'm just curious I suppose at the end of the day, this setup ^^^^ is gonna' be suitable for mid range power but it can't hurt to look at ways of improving cooling further, thereby future proofing, should I opt later on down the line to drop a forged lump in there with daft tubs and track it/drift it, with all the spare time on my hands
  22. That is so very true mate 13th Jan was my last paid day working for HRH so I now have the trouble of finding things to fill my day, so far two sessions of phys' and tinkering with the shortie' is keeping me from watching trash TV and all the best that Loose Women and Cash in the Attic can offer but yeah, I'd be interested to see what what your mate says More surface area = more cooling, so in thoery it's all good, though point taken ref the pump
  23. Now this is purely hyperthetical (yet again) but I think that it's fair to say that the biggest issue that the zed has during any prolonged period on track, is cooling.... well I've just been looking at a few other builds (non zed); some in the UK and some in the US, across a wide variety of track focused builds and a lot of modifiers and tuners seem to be opting to re-locate the rad to the rear of the vehicle in thoery it seems like a decent idea, and the number of pro spec cars that have adopted it as a setup proves that it does work as long as the right ducting and aero is in place to supply and extract the moving air efficiently now here's my random question...with all of the above factored in (ie suitable aero/ducting), (on a zed) would it be possible to run a Koyo rad up front as per normal with a stock fan and then have a seconadary radiator rear mounted (in the boot) effectively acting as a secondary radiator configured to 'cool' the already 'cooled' water from the front radiator (with 1 or 2 electric fans mounted on the rear rad) before returning to the engine? Just a thought....
  24. I've been advised by a local clutch specialist that the thrust bearing that was used previously with my Exedy twin plate clutch was most likely too big for the clutch, resulting in it literally melting the top set of 'fingers' and fusing the metal to the lower set. The ID of the area that was worn away was about 10mm+ larger than the ID of the hole in the centre of the clutch 'fingers'. Could anybody tell me, is there a specific thrust bearing that is supposed to be used with the Exedy twin plate clutch, and if so is it slightly smaller than stock? thanks
