  1. I think the technical term is......'uber quick' mate
  2. Is anybody running one of these HKS triple plate clutches? HKS GD Clutch Pro Multi-Plate Clutch Triple Plate Nissan 300ZX TT 90-96 Item #: 2604-RN027 Regular Price: $2,100.00 Sale Price: $1,889.00 You Save: $211.00 (10%) HKS GD Clutch Pro Multi-Plate Clutch Triple Plate Nissan 300ZX TT 90-96 A key component delivering engine power to the drivetrain is the clutch. On highly tuned vehicles the stock clutch quickly becomes obsolete because it does not have the friction material nor pressure to hold and transfer the additional power. Therefore a high performance clutch is needed to support and deliver all the engine power to the cars wheels. From using the T-002 and R33 DRAG GT-R to develop, test, and research the technology and dynamics of power transfer, HKS has created the HKS Twin and Triple Plate Clutch kits to surpass the demands of a high performance clutch. Twin Plate Clutch kits are designed for 700hp street use applications and the Triple Plate Clutches can handle over 1000HP, which are designed for drag racing applications. The HKS multi-plate performance clutch kits are vehicle specific Pull-Type racing clutch applications designed for street-car use. The multiple plate design allows increased friction area and direct power transfer, thus offering greater horsepower and torque holding capacity and light clutch pedal pressure for easier clutch pedal management. The use of rivet-less clutch disks allow for better durability, increased friction area and direct torque transfer, while maintaining a friction material that is both wear and heat resistant. Each multi-plate clutch kit comes with a lightweight chrome-moly flywheel optimizes durability and high performance. The use of very durable and lightweight chrome-moly material with a steel tooth ring makes it possible to construct a thinner flywheel without sacrificing integrity. The concept behind a lightweight flywheel stems from the desire to enhance low-rpm throttle response on high RPM horsepower applications. With the lightened flywheel in the HKS Twin and Triple Plate Clutch kits, a quick rise in RPM can be attained from light throttle input for easier RPM matching when downshifting and to counter low torque at low RPM levels. Though the main focus of the HKS multi-plate clutch kits is on ultimate power transfer and engine response, a stable idle and smooth driveability is still maintained. Each HKS Twin and Triple Plate Clutch kit is a complete vehicle specific assembly that allows for a bolt-on installation. Some applications have an available slave cylinder rod that increases travel for enhanced pedal modulation.
  3. and no doubt, two minutes after that photo was taken, one of them called naked sandpit! Royal, you gotta' love 'em (but in a non gay way!!)
  4. I've given myself a good starting point with this one as it was a sound motor in the first place, as it hadn't been arse raped by Tzech, thus isn't doomed from the off like the LWB I don't think it'll be to a lot of peoples taste mind you, but it will be a good advertising board for my other 'project' and company
  5. It'll be fitted by close of play today mate, but I'm gonna' wait for the paint to dry on certain bits and for other body bits to arrive (vented fenders etc) before I start taking full frame pics as it wouldn't look right. The majority of the bodywork will definately be done within the week (or the next few days at the rate that I'm going). I've managed to do more on the shortie' in 4 days than I did on the LWB in a year. Here are a few quick pics from last night, all being painted satin black and I changed my mind, the carbon fibre is fitted now and just got a small amount of fabrication to sort with the cage (being a LWB cage the rear arms need to be cut down a few inches that's all) so all really simple stuff I'm just literally about to go and mount the Sparco (now that I've sorted the seat frame) using OMP rails on the drivers side and Bride rails on the passenger side I've got that really good feeling back with this SWB
  6. Sweet...that's £1,000,000 paid as a gift into my Paypal account please bud make me an offer mate
  7. So you don't sell these then?
  8. It could be argued I suppose, that it's already a classic and I wouldn't disagree
  9. I haven't got a pic of the Volks on the zed yet as they're still in Germany, though I've seen them on the guys GTS-t and they're mint the thing is I've got this thing about vintage JDM Volk Racing Cv-Pro's I've just sold a set of black/chrome 18" CV-Pros to Harby I've still got a set of lightweight 1 piece 18" CV-Pros that I'm using as track rims, and the other month I managed to scrounge (and have repaired) a pair of 3 piece 18" CV-Pro's with a really good offset, so one of these is going to be 'the spare' and the other one is going to be 'the spare, spare' the great thing is that the two repaired rims are exactly the same titanium/chrome (deep dish) as the set of four that I've got coming from Germany and they are light as hell I'll get some pics up once the zed's sorted
  10. Thanks, they're actually en-route to Germany as of this morning.....I traded them for a set of 18" Volks
  11. Cheers bud I reckon that's a response record!
  12. Could somebody tell me what this wing is (99 spec etc) as I haven't got a clue, it was on the shortie' when I bought it I've got a URAS wing going on tomorrow so ideally I need to know what this one is so that I can figure out what it's worth and then sell it many thanks in advance ****Wing now sold**** not the best angle but you should be able to make it out Edit: Here's another pic from the rear
  13. The Z32 is just about the most boring, plain, ugly and un-eventful car that you could ever drive....it's a 20 year old Datsun that's prone to rust, it costs a fortune to run and maintain and the targas have the waterproof properties of a used T bag. There's minimal decent body mods available for them and if you want to build something special you have to import parts from.................... I'm only messing, you gotta' love the zed, it's special (and not in a Forrest Gump sort of way!) I friggin' love my Datsun :thumbup1:
  14. Remember when you're over there and you're talking cars: "I used to own a Zed 32" = :confused1: Confused American "I used to own a Zee 32" = Drooling American good luck with the new start bud
  15. Bite the bullet and get yourself a tidy R32 or R33 GTR mate then if it doesn't do it for you after a few months you could sell it and buy yourself 12 x Z32's (or just the one very good example) simples
  16. I'm not completely convinced that the stats are exactly right on there but hey, I don't know 100% so they may well be correct (auto/manual/LWB/SWB etc) as for bidding if you love the zed....... well I love the zed that I'm driving now BUT I fookin' hated the old one with a passion in the end
  17. That's what I always thought GTS or GTS-t (can't remember which) suspension is very similar to Z32, as are certain S14 components but don't think that GTR bits and Z32 bits are the same
  18. Tight arse!
  19. I thought they were Rays going by the centres, and you're right to keep them....personally I'm not a big fan of Rota's and no offence to anybody who has them bit I would choose pucker JDM rims over cheap imitations anyday of the week A refurb would be good, not that expensive either if they're generally in good order to start with, which they look to be very nice mate
  20. I like the rims and Personal steering wheel mate....very tasteful bud what rims are they?
  21. I like that, in a retro JDM kind of way not bidding though mate
  22. Yeah but keep on your toes mate.....the Argie's have spent a lot of time and money on their Counter Surveillance training programme since '82 Sneaky fookers'
