Time Attack 2012
Initial shake down of the SVM R35 GTR....this looks like it can shift

fast an furious, bodykits and rolling discos
I see the Z32 as being in a state limbo at the moment, by that I mean that in stock form it looks dated (in the same sense that the Mclaren F1 now looks dated compared to it's younger cousins) but not quite dated enough to look like a true classic. I hope that in 10 - 15 years or so I'll look at it in the same way that I currently look at 240z's etc, until that time a few nice subtle body mods (front bumper/skirts etc) can go some way to bring it right up to date.

Any one seen this modified nose on a zed? what do you all think?
It's not for me personally but I do appreciate the amount of work that's gone into creating it

Don't strip the turbo down after you've removed it, I'm sure something similar happened to somebody either on here or on Driftworks, it was regarding a brand new crank rather than a turbo, which was fitted during an engine rebuild. The crank was bent however the company (in the US) initially wouldn't budge as it had been fitted etc In the end the guy got them to agree to send a replacement crank free of charge and everything worked out ok. At the end of the day if your capable of fitting one turbo properly then there's no reason that you would have fitted the other incorrectly, therefore component failure and a replacement part is due as far as I'm concerned. Also didn't Jeff post a thread a few months back where he'd fitted a brand new component bought from the manufacturer which turned out to be faulty (water pump I think??), well same principal here as far as I can see. You should get a new part.

Well I see in this thread so far you've placed (4) posts mate, each post now costs the 'postee' 40p a time, which means that so far you owe £1.60 :whistling:

Japfest 2012 May
Just a quick clarification question regarding the track session at Japfest this year. Is the track session pass an entitlement for the car to participate (ie. 1 x track session pass = 1 x car and occupants)? What I mean is, I have paid for two entry tickets to the Japfest event (myself and the long haired general aka. the wife) and we've also paid for a track session pass. Now I've assumed that the track session pass means that the car and occupants are entitled to go out on track (ie. both of us), is this correct?

Tuscan hunting
Let's not forget one small factor (3:29) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlbssmzttlM where Dudley Moore announces "I'll shall be in the Veyron...." so we've got a floppy haired midget who struggles to see over the steering wheel (he really is that small by the way) driving the Veyron and we've got Mr Stiglett driving the F1, all things being equal it's going the Stig's way....but all things aren't equal and the Veyron pulls it back after a shoddy start so in order to get an accurate comparrison you need the same driver, driving each car down the same stretch of tarmac under the same conditions

Fitting DW rear lower arms
Cheers Gary the only problem is that's my old LWB build thread off Driftworks from a few years ago, when I first test fitted them using a bit of a trial, error and guesswork I ended up stripping them off because (1) I couldn't get a difinitive answer as to how the lower joints were supposed to be fitted to the hub and (2) I kinda' knew back then that the red zed was a bit of a money pit and not likely to get finished anytime soon I think I've got it cracked now though, fingers crossed I've even managed to get the wheel alignment (visually at least) spot on, whereas a certain zed specialist who are no longer about managed to balls that one up aswell

Fitting DW rear lower arms
Does anybody have any close up pics of how the DW rear lower arms are fitted. I think I've got it but wouldn't mind a second opinion The kit comes with a seperate 'pin' for the zed, which is slightly shorter than the other (for S13 I believe?) Anyway this is how I've fitted it: Shorter pin with thicker thread (large nut) at the bottom/thinner thread (smaller nut) at the top

Hoodies...
I don't wear my hood up unless I'm out running in the hills, it usually acts like a neck warmer when rolled down and when you say 'gangster' walk I assume by that you mean when the individual in question appears to be walking with a limp, looks like his shoulder is dislocated and has his trackie' bottoms tucked into his socks.... that look ^^^^^ might be quite common within a group of 15 year olds swigging 20/20 but not many in their mid 30's I dare say

- stop panic buying petrol
It's just been announced that there won't be any tanker strikes until at least next week, so just enough time for everybody to use another tank of fuel and then round 2 begins....- Hoodies...
My thoughts exactly- Hoodies...
Very true mate sometimes you just feel like pointing out a minor detail (ie. the reason that I shop here is because I can afford it....the reason that you work here and are serving me is because you can't!....now get your head from out of your own arse and let's start again shall we...)- Tuscan hunting
This clip (not Top Gear and I think a few years later down the line) shows a similar lineup but this time it's the TVR that comes out on top.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMy0PdIiXW0- Hoodies...
Are you more a T.shirt kind of guy then? - stop panic buying petrol
