How Much Insurance
have to agree with JEFF TT, also as a dad and believe it or not having once been 17, a ZX is not the way to start, my lad recently has passed his test and i bought him a fiesta gia, and how glad am i that i didn't buy something more powerful, at 18 he often has him mates sat with him, so not only is it his life but other parents kids as well, i know from what people tell me, he does not always drive as he should, especially when he passes people he THINKS are looking at him, he probably does it 'cos he thinks they are looking and thinking how cool he is, i tell him its 'cos they are saying "look at the dickhead showing off in a fiesta" lol no disrespect to you m8, but in the wrong hands a Z is a killing machine, and im sure your mum and dad would never forgive themselves if something happened to you or someone else, from your post you sound a sensible lad, personally i would advise something a LOT smaller, and in the meantime keep visiting this site, take advanced driving tests etc (does wonders for youngsters insurance) and when your ready THEN buy a ZX cos they ARE the ultimate modding machine;) good luck

WTF is going on EBAY!
cos you obviously think its a good scam, so go for it, you believe it 100% the boring bit is there's thousands like you who make it worthwhile that these parasites keep doing it

car gave up
are you sure the battery is in good nick m8?? clicking when trying to start sounds like a flat battery not sure about why it failed on you while driving? unless it was at night and you had your lights on etc, again this would point to a duff battery
-
WTF is going on EBAY!
sorry m8 but i dont urgently need to con people to get meself some cash and if you think its not a scam, its been done dusted and conned many people in many different ways, i found these after about a minute btw who told you it WASN'T illegal?? It is a criminal offence to persuade someone to pay into a scheme by promising them benefits if they recruit further people, although recruitment rewards can be given. A scheme must also legitimately be selling a product or service. http://www.azcentral.com/phorum/read.php?f=24&i=79&t=79 http://www.crimes-of-persuasion.com/Crimes/Delivered/electric_money_tree.htm http://www.cs.rutgers.edu/~watrous/chain-letters.html http://www.crimes-of-persuasion.com/Crimes/Delivered/net-based.htm http://www.howtocorp.com/cgi-bin/webbbs_config.pl/noframes/read/19836 http://www.b2g3.com/boards/board.cgi?action=read&id=1084932561&user=cuconservatives

WTF is going on EBAY!
yep its only £3 but the knobs who think them up are making hundreds of thousands, because most people think ITS ONLY £3 its no different from the pyramids that were going round a few years ago that wanted £3,000, and most people that got involved, got members of their familys/friends/workmates etc etc to get into their groups result= hundreds of thousands of people lost out because they believed others that it was "surefire", and as soon as the people below them started paying, then sunny days, so what its only £3 a con is a con, check the maths out its not hard, and do you know what i think is the biggest con about this one?? IT'S ONLY £3!!!!!!!

WTF is going on EBAY!
yeah right Most people who participate in these pyramid schemes lose, because sooner or later, no new participants can be recruited to keep the scheme going. Posters who start these threads claim it will work if everyone is "honest." In fact, with the usual send-this-message-to-five-people scheme, it only takes 15 steps in the scheme before the total number of participants must be 7.6 billion — larger than the Earth's population — in order for the scheme to continue. Step New Recruits Total Participants 1 - 1 - 1 2 - 5 - 6 3 - 25 - 31 4 - 125 - 156 5 - 625 - 781 6 - 3,125 - 3,906 7 - 15,625 - 19,531 8 - 78,125 - 97,656 9 - 390,625 - 488,281 10 - 1,953,125 - 2,441,406 11 - 9,765,625 - 12,207,031 12 - 48,828,125 - 61,035,156 13 - 244,140,625 - 305,175,781 14 - 1,220,703,125 - 1,525,878,906 15 - 6,103,515,625 - 7,629,394,531

NZR: My new car, yes its a scooby (custom & excise)
exhaust and suspension wont effect you m8 sorry cant help you with the customs costs etc you will be surprised how easy is it to sva an import, and you will save yourself at least £400, some of the things are just plain daft ie it has to have a full tank of juice for the weight test, no protuding buttons on the dash, but ok if airbagged, as i said do the obvious things, once you get the car, hunt round for more info, and even if it fails ,for £30 you will know what needs doing, then take it for an mot, take all your docs' to your local dvla to register (or post them) and within 4-5 days it will be up and running;)
-
NZR: My new car, yes its a scooby (custom & excise)
the regulations have changed, but nothing that will effect you m8 ie no longer able to sva it as disabled, (cheaper) looking at the pictures youve posted its not madly modded, so no problems there, have a look here it contains most of the info you need, me and a m8 have sva'd about 6 people carriers.4x4's and not encountered any major problems ie the fails consist of a protruding sharp nut, the wind deflectors had sharp edges etc etc, so nothing to fear m8;) from applying for an sva it took about two weeks for a date, the retests were done the day after failing http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/carlgvowners/importingandbuildingvehicles/singlevehicleapprovalscheme.htm btw i forgot to say as your car was manufactured before 1st January 1997 then the new model report rubbish does not apply to you;)
-
NZR: My new car, yes its a scooby (custom & excise)
cheaper to do it yourself m8, most companys charge you about £500-£600 to apply yourself its about £175, then if it fails its £30 retest, not hard to do the maths, and you will be there and they will explain if it fails on anything so easy enough to sort main things of the top of me head are, speedo conversion, european standard tyres, fog light and any sharp corners that could be dangerous to pedestrians, also the emissions, but you would have to be very unlucky for a freshly imported car to fail on that, if you do decide to do it yourself, ive got the relevant papers to give you some hints then after that you have to register it, which is on top of the sva, which you would have to pay anyway, about £125 which includes 6 months tax oh yes radio coversion if fitted, easier to take it out for the sva, or fit a band convertor £15 and 5 minutes

Hello Everybody
from what ive seen in the last few years the ONLY way your gonna catch any scummy smackheads robbing houses is via a speed trap, not entirely your fault due to cutbacks, but sorry, i want to see plod walking round estates, not letting them get to be no go areas and only going on them to chase the local dickheads

Any legal eagles out there?
btw, you may have a get out of sorts, as you went to hand your license in as requested, and as long as you havnt got 9 points or doing a daft speed then you DON'T have to attend court
-
Any legal eagles out there?
an hort 1 is a "producer" BigRoy says he was producing his licenese for points so i assume he has had Endorseable Fixed Penalty Notice, which he must have been given IN PERSON and signed to admit the offence, not "camerered" so no dispute in who was driving, i hope for his sake he has got an "out" but to appear in court and the police say it was him speeding, will be hard to argue against
-
Any legal eagles out there?
i think? that has he has been asked to produce his license that its not a nip, but a fixed penalty, and he will have already admitted guilt (otherwise he wouldnt have been given one) probably my fault as i mentioned nip in my first post, but they are two different things, and i guess BigRoy would have signed acceptance of the speeding and agreed to produce his license for points?? so i would say he is still liable to the points, unless her tells us something different;)

Any legal eagles out there?
wrong details on a nip don't invalidate it m8, it just enables them to reissue, its YOU who is being prosecuted, not the car:(
