glad to hear it was the filter m8;) pity everything is not so easily solved:( i was amazed myself when i changed the oil and cleaned the filter that it cured it, THAT noise deffo sounds more expensive

drop the pan m8 IF you have a drain plug? drain first probably not if it's an import, and you will see the metal mesh filter, undo and clean with petrol etc, and refit and top back up:)

just an update for info had this installed yesterday, and both boxes have to go to the SAME phone line, not a great problem just ran an extension to me lads room until he had installed. nice bit of kit SO FAR, record two things at once ie running at the same time obviously it enables you to pause live tv, and then resume or fast forward to catch up, if you come in say half way through top gear etc, and press record it enables you to record FROM THE BEGINNING:) im sure theres lots more i havn't found YET lol

is it the rustproofing or underbody seal? if it's the rustproofing then it's deffo worth having it done, as its a messy horrible job, and a clear liquid so can't hide anything, and £45 is a bargain i do my jag every year and the waxoyl itself costs half that i THINK you can also get the seal in clear as well, so if your worried ask them to do it in clear;)

no m8, a clean did the trick, i THINK after 6 months of "good" driving it i would have known if it was knackered gear change and everything is perfect, whereas before i lost all drive leave it for half an hour or when cold and it was ok, but made the horrible wining noise, i guess it depends how long the torgue/box has been starved

deffo as WillieO says m8, that sounds like a blockage including the horrible wining noise, over 6 months ago i had the same from mine, and it turned out to be muck in the filter
