  2. charge it before you go, it will be fine.
  3. Just having a browse on this thread as I'll be needing a battery soon as It looks like I swapped over my Zed battery on a recent shed daily driver and left it on :( What do you think of this, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pline-096-096-Battery-12v-75ah-690cca-/271206518673?pt=UK_Golf_Trolleys&hash=item3f252b0f91 £46 Delivered
  4. It's because the saddo's that live in the house mate are always moaning about people backing up on their driveway cos they have nothing going on inside of their house or their heads, it's because no-one seems want to live and let live, the other half dented her fiat 500 the second day she had it due to a traffic cone filled with concrete.
  5. All sorted now, one of the pins was an earth not just the bracket. Only used one horn, its sufficient :) cheers hopefully get the front bumper on soon.
  6. No I haven't but I can hear the relay clicking when I'm pressing the horn button, so I'm assuming all is well there
  7. Not as good as all the clocks :D Seriously I am waiting for this too but which adapter (I think I need datascan version 1) Who downloaded it ?? Sorry for the big pic
  8. About 4 years ago when my z was my daily driver my horn was going off in works car park on, off, on, off etc. I had to pull the fuse out to get it to shut up, I drove without a horn until sorn. Need to get my horn fixed before I put my front bumper back on, I have ditched the stock horns years ago and bought some more. I can't get them to work, fuse OK, Relay OK and continuity to the horn wires OK. A couple of pics underneath to see what I've got, I have tried both spades on the horns and the earths have been done correctly, any ideas? Would like to use existing wiring if possible.
  9. Happy Birthday mate :)
  10. Welcome Gary, I'm in Bolton local to you, there's a guy who lives near me with some old Z's I only see them very occasionally though. yours looks like a good un :)
  11. Think they are at Southport air show next weekend, my go and have a noisey
  12. Well done fella, easy :)
  13. At a guess yes, looks like you need to continue stripping apart until you can get some mole grips on them.
  14. I'd replace the cylinder seals first, I managed to get a oem Nissan kit for the clutch they probally do one for the brakes too.
  15. Well its now on 6 (I'm almost certain lol). The not starting at all was due to replacing the ecu, will have to look into that as it's got a mines chip in and wanted to use it, it wasn't priming the fuel pump. The culprit for not running on 6 was the PTU picked one up last week, tried it tonight and it started up in tenths of a second :). It's well rough though, rich and making a well weird sound when the revs are dropping off only at the right side though (separate thread with video inbound soon :D). I'm going to get my boost controller wired in because my plugs for the solenoids weren't attached, and Ill take it from there. Heaters working too. Thanks for all the input, much appreciated :winkiss:
  16. The round dust boot has a yellow plug under and is the stock oil pressure sender which is on passenger side of block.
  17. Hope this helps you out judging from your first picture I can make out the PTU This is a pic from my UK TT before it got picked up to be scrapped
  18. Can't think of the name and I can't manage to search it successfully , but while in Halfords the other week I noticed a tripod thing with little blocks attached to it, I assumed that you put this onto a drill and it was for sanding/polishing bores out. (my brain hurts)
  19. I'm still owed a birthday present off the misus :whistling:
  20. Do a quick search for a recent thread I put up similar problem to yours. There's some links I put up there for some tests, multimeter required through.
  21. Check the earth to the gearbox bell housing mate is it ok
  22. What about alarms/immobiliser they generally won't let the starter turn
  23. Still having zed woes........... I have done this test on my PTU http://forums.nicoclub.com/ptu-test-t505091.html mines not coming back with 14volts its actually coming back with 0.06volts, when I test battery its 12.45volts so meters OK I have Nissan breakers near me who have a PTU in for £30 but its from an NA would this be OK in a TT? Is it the same? Cheers
