  1. Update, seat for mot.............needs 3 tyres some bushes need doing, headlamp beam height, bulb and emissions (decatted). not worth getting through mot as it stinks car through with oil when heaters are put on and gives you a bad head ache, also its really badly condensated now its winter and I suspect 3 seals have gone, 2 doors and scuttlepanels. Anyway I got shut of it to a pole last night and he buys german cars here only. He lives here and takes 6 back to poland each week. The seat Leon Shed was apparently worth 4K in parts:pinch:
  2. a few fivers and one tener, quite a few quid ones but they just get swapped for a dud one............
  3. I am, gonna get battlefield 4 and am being drawn to need for speed, no midnight launch for me this time though getting it delivered. I missed out on the camera bundle as I didn't realise that asda emailed me and when I was about to send them an email about it when I searched for my order number from the deposit I found an email for the limited numbers ps4, camera, 2 controllers and killzone bundle.
  4. The other halfs got a mazda 3 2.0 sport its ok nothings gone wrong apart from the front passenger bose speaker has blown :rolleyes:

  7. Cheers Brian, I think the Nascar look is pretty cool and is something Ive never thought of, and for the white pen Im now watching espically at that price is (maybe) for the 4x4 :)
  8. I just about managed to scrape the engine and box in together, without lowering the subframe, the paintwork has a few scars lol

  10. lol I know mines been off the road for 18months now, and I drove it for 12 months cos I had mine mot'd when I got it, so I should have started working on mine 2 1/2 years ago, although I have done a few bits, your progress is phenominal you shoud be chuffed mate, also imagine all the free time you'rr have when its done :whistling::biggrin:

  12. Well Im thinking that but its letting the fluid through to bleed ok enough Im gonna do both then :) as I need to order another part from a 4x4 breakers (I, ahem have max power pedals and ovbiously need to get rid and get some pedal rubbers lol) soon to be in the for sale section :D

Yep car well in the air and one man bleed kit working very well, I bought a vacumme set off ebay (cheap one) a while ago and used that but its well cheap and crap so I put it back in its box lol, I'm gonna order a master seal seal kit and give that a go, Car pulling pleanty of vac (checked pipe going to servo with pipe off), servo good holds pressure, no bleed on abs unit there's one per wheel and the load sensing valve at the rear. Thinking about getting another load sensing valve but not sure yet. Its doing my head in how both back brakes have no effort? cheers for the replies :)

Hi Guys sorry for posting this here but I have upmost respect on here for their mechanical knowlege of 300's so a quick question about a Frontera of all things lol Its a 1998 3.2 v6 limited very cheap to carry stuff in, I have a hatchback and so does the other half so might as well get something a bit different to arse about in lol Car has been for mot and failed, the car had been stood for two and a half years before I got it so I.................. Had the front discs machined flat, also new front pads, got new rear discs and new rear pads and adjusted the handbrake. MOT fail on rear brake lines corrosion ( now renewed), reflushed through and renewed brake fluid, inc bleeding the load sensing valve. Mot fail on No rear brakes, wheels could be turned by hand when brake pedal pressed (on rollers). The fronts didn't do so well at mot time either? Anybody be able to recommend what next? The flexi lines are not bulging, the pedal is still spongy and when looking underneath when braking the front calipers are really grabbing on and the rear calipers are doing nothing? Could an abs light (which is on even thought I have replaced a sensor) could affect any of the above? I can't think anymore I have had master cylinder off I dont know if to order a seal kit? as it seems ok, also a replacement load sensing valve? Ayone able to help:) As I feel like Im banging my head against a wall
  16. Doh! I may have gone if I would have known, I was actually in manchester today as well
  17. To be honest the last owner was a bit of a bell, all air filters and dump valves and no maintence lol. When I got the car it had a bent wheel which turned out to be a hub, but I got a 2nd hand hub, new wishbone and ball joint and that was sorted. Got an o2 sensor cos someone had cut all the wires (probally to get a ring end spanner on the o2 when decatting) then bodged it up. Temp gauge not reading right, sorted out, oil pickup pipe taken out and cleaned and sump re sealed, with new sensors pressure and level. jubalee clips missing from water system, letting air in. Vac pipes split, Only 2 speakers working due to bad wiring, Secondary air pump hanging off and throwing error codes up. But to top it all off ABS sensor replaced due to showing on a diagnostics and when I went to replace the warning bulbs in the clocks I found that when I stripped it down I couldnt get at the bulbs without taking the needles off so someone has put black velvet fluff in the holes where the bulbs go, yes that is athe abs and traction control warning lights. All this has been sorted now and the only reason that I havent got rid sooner is that the DVLA took 3 months to get it registered in my name and I needed to tax it too sell. And Finally this is what happens when you put a fuse back in to your dash clocks to get the clock and trip computer to work - and to think that the immobiliser is part of the clocks lol :scared: I got it for cheap enough and it has the AQU? engine in shame its had a bit of a rough time Its ok I suppose and It does drive nice (until next time) Have a look at seat cupra net and you wont see what spolier should I get ect, youll see my car is crap cos, and help me posts lol I should be sorting the zed out instead of messing with 5hit cars all the time.
  18. I've got a 51 plate Cupra, and it's on ebay On paper it ticks all the right boxes, practical ect..... But in reality bit of a nightmare mate So I'm getting shut of it and have bought another different nightmare lol
  19. Panasonic 3DO with need for speed and road rash Can't be bettered :) Although when I asked my brother for my 3DO, Dreamcast and Saturn that I never ended up moving out with he say's "what I don't know where they are" I know he 'lent' them to some long lost mates :( p.s. not got GTA V lol

  21. dont recall seeing your other thread but I got a seat cupra months ago and the wheel was out at the bottom and in at top bad camber. after getting new wishbone and ballpoint it ended up being the hub itself. the car had previously hit a kerb Hard. you could tell that by the spare.
  22. I used PTFT tape on my aftermarket sensors (plumbers tape)
  23. If the handbrake is applied 1 click on (upwards) it stiffens up the rear shocks on a UK car only, when I broke my UK TT I removed all boot trim and there were something on top of the shock with a plug going to it, I would suggest removing and unplugging of them. If you think 1 is playing up then I possibly still have tham somewhere? if you want to keep that feature, although I never used it
