  2. In fact your link is the guy I got a quote from so If you could add a spare plate to your order...........
  3. Yep I ran one of these for three years and will put back in when engine goes back in with a new plate, been quote £88 from the states the other week but i never got round to giving him the nod.
  4. All the best for the future
  5. I did do both mine but can't comment as the engines still not got in the car yet. I suppose if your suspect about the condition of the turbo a rebuilder would probably closely inspect each part before assembling to ensure their guarantee.
  6. think it was about 40 plus delivery, have a look at some how to guides on the net and see if you fancy a go, the cost of the tools will be cheaper than paying for the rebuilds.
  7. I refurbed myself and sent shafts off for balancing. got the rebuild kit of eBay for about 50 each
  8. I was on a first aid course years ago and there was a guy there who owned a plumbing place who was loaded, he had a massive merc a lambo and a porche turbo amongst others and he said on a porche dyno day they took the exhaust off and just put an elbow on and ran again and gained 90 bhp, his words not mine :)

  10. I've git one in Bolton I have a for sale thread on here typing on phone at moment so please do a search. block and heads no ancillary or turbos. located in Bolton.
  11. Even I did something zed related today, I finished off fitting the turbos to the engine, and then found that the 2 turbo to downpipe gaskets I bought last year are for t28's :asshole: Ive also decided to ditch the aircon.
  12. Im looking at yellow too, Ive done the interior but only thought of fiat yellow as of yet cos when I did my last zed orange it didn't turn out fantastic. I'll probally end up with some sort of dip. Bumblebee pearl does look nice I'd go with that if I was paying a pro to do it.
  13. Yep Im gonna end up doing this, the compressor I got last year will be used for blowing tyres up and sanding :cowboy: Good links Dave :)
  14. I think it was for autoban use, Japs dont tow cos some of there houses are made of paper and can be rolled up and put through roof.
  15. Probally a scrap yard engine? had it out in 20mins.
  16. I used to have a manual UK z which had a diff oil cooler, when I broke the car up the oil cooler only had about 3 drops of fluid in. I later found out that the diff oil cooler only starts to work at crazy speeds.
  17. I just got a 125 litre one for £82 off ebay
  18. Stiltsons :D Also the other hex things are Brilliant and have pulled me out of the shit a few times, I got some from machine mart years ago but they are in 2 sets 9,11,13,15,17 and the other set is 12.12.14.16.18 Something like that BUT they are £20 each which one do you get?? or both for $$$$
  19. Plus Gas overnight, heat nut (not too hot as it may damage seals in dump valve I have these and IIRC they are aluminum and heat transfers very quickly) Use 5mm allen key and some stilsons if you round it off anymore a nut splitter cos you'll need a new nut anyway, also clean the threads up with a wire brush when its off :)
  20. I got a cloth electric drivers seat, if you can collect it from bolton
  21. Extreamly sad news I used to see Barry from time to time near where I used to work and stop and have a chat. Gutted, RIP mate
