  1. Self healing car...............how much you want for it? :p
  2. Jesus! Quickest thing Ive ever seen!
  3. No standard hub and wheel, that was my next erm, guess but I can rule that possible fault out now,lol
  4. Try topping up your.......... Didnt work for me :( I have done a datascan check and came back with no faults (i assume it checks all sensors) Speed Sensor registered with datascan (1.2 MPH on driveway VROOOOOOOOOOOM!) going to do a hicas diagonostics check when dry weather. At a loss. Hope its just your fluid being low m8 :) Fingers crossed.
  5. Wish I had the time m8, I havent played a pc game in 6 months, had to stop playing battlefield 2 cos my isp went to 5hit, now may as well wait for 2142. I may start playing company of heros when I get chance. I got GTR 2 the other day too, got to get steering wheel out from under desk yet, lol
  6. I used my datascan cabel yesterday to look at these probs, code 55 (no problems?) so I take it all sensors are working fine, I was concerned about the speed sensor for hicas, but no sensor faults and hicas light still on? The water temp registered on the datascan but not on either of my gauges, is it safe to say the gauges are at fault?
  7. Just been trying to get rid of an airlock for over half an hour, water roasting but still both temp gauges don't budge, the aftermarket one is fitted in an adaptor and the brass sensor is poking out the top where the feed wire connects to, its hot to touch, although the gauge only starts at 40 degrees I would have thought it would register??

  10. I can't be that bad as the workmate who was helping me was shattered at midnight, god knows how he goes on when hes in a nightclub. Oh and all stuff bled when ignition on but engine wasn't running. make a big difference
  11. No Got on of my workmates to come around mine after work (22:45), he didnt leave till 2AM and his mum kept ringing him, lol. yep done the abs unit also, the 2 nipples on top. Am ok for a lift this week as not working stoopid shift. at home at 2:30 :) But fall asleap on couch after tea
  12. No, the methood I have been doing is........ open nipple, press pedal, close nipple, depress pedal........ I saw a self bleeding gadget the other day when buying some dextron III, had a quick look at the back of the packet is said 'no need for somebody to fully press the pedal while you bleed....' So shall I try keeping the pedal pressed down with nipple open for a while? which do you recon is best?
  13. Yep right near the hicas unit, I will bleed this again also lol, bleed, bleed, bleed........yawn lol
  14. Anybody give us a hint :p The power steering fluid (hicas) is about 1 1/2 inches from the top is that enough? Its touching the big cotton bud. shall I buy some fluid in morning?
  15. The coolant level in the bottle beside the near side wing is the expantion bottle, you can actually fill this till it overflows. Fill radiator if you think water level is low (dont forget to undo bleed screw on the left side of the rad (black plastic screw undo with large philips screwdriver) Power steering Fluid to be used is Dextron III.
  16. Glad its been recovered then! how far they go in it?
  17. Hopefullly! would have taxed it last week, but now waiting for October.
  18. Tried this not thoroughly though as it was pi55ing it down, but I did see water coming out of the bleed hole screw.
  19. Had lots of fun getting car going - http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=80737 A few Niggles - 1. Hicas Light On - Fluid OK? 2. Clutch Pedal Travel - I have fitted a 2nd Hand OS Giken Twin Plate and I have not adjusted the pedal (testing stage). The pedal seems to run free about 1-2" at the top when depressing. Is this normal? Or does it require bleeding yet again? 3. Cooland Temp Gauge isnt working. I also have an aftermarket gauge and that won't read temperature either which is read from a different sensor. I though stuck thermostat but when I filled with car running steam was coming from the rad bleed hole? So Im puzzled with this as well? Some more things to sort 4. My brakes need bleeding again, feels spongy. 5. My headlight still dont work properally. 6. Squeals for new aux belts. Any help Guys? no.3 is doin my head in. cheers
  20. I went near the battery, through the wing (peel back plastic inner arches) and go in near ecu near passengers feet. Compleat PITA but I couldnt go through the bonnet release catch.
  21. Must be heartbreaking :( Gutted for you.
  22. Ended up leaving it till this morning (the working on car ;) ) Well its started up no probs this morning :hyper: cough It was due to the fact that I put the fuel hoses on the wrong way around. cough OK enough of that :p Thanks for your help guys and your very kind offer Stuart! Noticed a couple of small probs will start a new thread (will it never end  ) Drove it out into street and was going to take a pic but I forgot to take my phone out with me, also I was wet through! stopped raining now though
  23. Right, I have a spark! I just thought I would mention it as I had to come upstairs for a pee. Going to play about a bit more now.
  24. Cheers bud! I looked for it in work before :p As for the battery I have one of those yellow car starters on charge for when I eventually flatten it ;) :D
  25. Cheers Stuart!, should be OK for a lift at the weekend but as you have probably guessed I'm a bit lost :p I cleaned all the spark plugs last night and made sure they had no moisture on them. Sprayed a few connectors, etc..... Going to take the induction pipes off tonight so I can get at the PTU and the CAS to clean connectors on them, and may even open up the PTU to see what condition its in. When I filled up with the jerry cans the fuel tank had been pressurised with me trying to start it that morning. I have now disconnected my battery cos I have not heard the pump prime since so I will see if it primes again when I connect battery back up, I think fuel wise its o.k.? Just a bit peeved I'm doing all this cos I bought a brand new battery and though it would fire up straight away. (silly me lol) May take you up on your offer though ;) :D
