Cobra Alarms
I have just changed the battery on my key fob as I had to be right next to the car to get it to activate. The alarm is a Coobra 7777. Now it wont work at all. Thought there must be something wrong with the fob so (like a fool)changed it for the other one (which was working) and now this one won't work either. Battery is definately in the right way. Is there some sort of initiation process that needs to be carried out every time you change a battery? At the moment I'm stuck as every time I use the key to open the car the bloody alarm goes off.

Any bikers on here ??
A 600 will be much cheaper on insurance - a ZZr600 will also be cheaper than say the sportier ZX6R. That said, if your a pretty big guy (like me) you will just look daft and be bloody uncomfortable on a 600. Something to consider.

Parts
When I took my N/A to Nissan 2 years ago they quoted me £1100 for the cambelt service and an extra £80 if I wanted the water pump done as well. My son did the whole lot for £180 incl parts and I still think he ripped me off! As an apprentice mechanic, I must admit I was somewhat worried but it took him 7 hours and my brother has the car now and its still running strong. From what he said, its not that difficult - just very time consuming.

March meet....?
Reckon you may be right. Clearing really quickly here so lets hope for the best. Will still meet you either way but if it carries on like this, the beast will venture out of the garage.

March meet....?
Shitty, crappy, god awaful rain - again. Not looking good I'm afraid. Unless there is a major change in the situation over the next few hours I'm afraid you can count me out for this one. Real shame as this looked like being a good turn out - in Zeds. Why can't we manage to get a Zed meeting in sunshine? For those going from Cornwall (Ray & Retro) I will still meet at Smokeys but if its still like this I'm afraid my car will remain tucked up in the garage.

March meet....?
Not fussed about a bit of rain/overcast but if its belting down I'm afraid it's just no fun.

March meet....?
Mmmm. Beginning to think the same but it does appear to have brightened up so hopefully it will just be a bit damp. If it's belting down I'm afraid mine won't be leaving the garage either. Nothing worse than travelling 300 miles in shite weather. Fingers crossed.

March meet....?
1100 at Smokeys. Can you print off the directions as my printers bust.
-
March meet....?
Yep. 1100 at smokeys suits me fine. If your not going in the Zed, and you want to leave your car behind at Smokeys you are welcome to a lift.

March meet....?
Any Cornish? Could end up a great meet. And Dave and I can come in our own z'ds :D Just seen this thread. Looks free in the Calendar so you can probably count me and the bro (mickeybigzed) in for this one. Must be about time we ventured over the Tamar Bridge I suppose. Better if I arrange to pick the spoiler up on this date as I really can't see me getting much opportunity over the next few weeks. Will confirm nearer the date.

Silver K Reg (Portsmouth)
Up on business and spotted you Wednesday afternoon coming out of Portsmouth onto M27. Wouldn't fancy that journey everyday.

Cornwall meet 27th January
The dreaded Noravirus. Highly contagious so best you keep away. They recommend a weeks absence at the minimum so check in sick and spend some time fixing your Zed - after you've stopped decorating the bog.

Cornwall meet 27th January
Yep. Me and the bro will be there.

Cornwall meet 27th January

Ray You'll be there in spirit and we can just pretend that one of the many red cars is yours!

Cornwall meet 27th January
Oops. Didn't see Legarths thread so can understand why he doesn't want Fraddon. I'm happy to go anywhere. Just tell me where and when.

Cornwall meet 27th January
Personally I can't think of a pub in Truro that will not be full-ish on a Sunday afternoon. Pubs that aren't busy will normally involve street parking which leaves the problem of everyone getting split up. The only one that possibly springs to mind is the County Arms but I reckon that will be pretty full on a Sunday. Guess we will then need to think about bookings etc. Your call but Fraddon or the Fox and Hounds still seems like the best bet. Maybe someone else can come up with something in the Truro area.

Ray - you obviously like Perranport. The car park is crap (to put it bluntly). Cars will be covered in spray (read sewage on a windy day) and the chances are it will be quite busy - even though its winter (lots of dog walkers). Pubs are also crap. Sorry mate but that is my honest opinion.

Cornwall meet 27th January
lisa Suggest we make an early decision on this one just so we know where we are going. Have spoken to a few others with Zeds in the area and they appear keen to attend and are "hopefully" watching the site. All we need now is for the weather to be on our side. Could be a good turnout.

Cornwall meet 27th January
I really don't mind but have voted for Fox and Hounds on the basis that it's probably the nicest pub. Just use the voting buttons and hopefully we will have a clear winner. If the one at Fraddon comes out tops then I suggest we push 5 miles further down the road to Mitchell (just after Mitsubishi Garage) where there's a decent pub and car park. I pulled in at the Fraddon McDonalds only last week and the car park next to it was still in use - although Ray is correct in saying that its used now by Lorries. That said, it is a Sunday. Some of our member come from past Penzance so even the Fox and Hounds will be 40+ miles away. Vote for your preference and let the organiser (Lisa) choose whats best.

Oops, didn't see the voting buttons at the start of this thread. Vote for the Fox and Hounds and then I won't look too stupid.

Cornwall meet 27th January
Sod it, lets make a decision now. 1300-1330 at Fox and Hounds at Lanner it will be. All we need is for the weather to be fine and we should have a good turn out.

Cornwall meet 27th January
Sorry for delay. Computer U/S - again, so have had to log on to a friends. Have put below some suggestions so if someone is able to put up some voting buttons then we could all give our preferred choice. 1. Fox and Hounds Pub in Lanner (not the one is Scorrier which has the same name). Should be reasonably quiet and has good parking and food. Approx 5 mins from the A30 turnoff near Redruth. 2. Victoria Inn at Roche. May be a little busy on a sunday but has good parking and better for those travelling from Plymouth. 5 mins off the newly built part of the A30 after Bodmin. 3. Pub (forgot the name) next to the MCDonalds restaurant at Fraddon - think we met here approx 3 years ago. Again, good parking and the food is pretty reasonable if I remember correctly. Obviously better for those inbound from Plymouth. Over to someone who can input a voting button thread. Maybe someone else has some suggestions that they would also like included.
