  1. If it was traded in then I would suggest you could have easily bought it off the dealer for £1500. Unless its a pristine example the vast majority of traders would just want to get shot of it. I think I would have probably paid 1500 for the Zed, but that Porker looked well shot and the Capri was a disaster; I wouldn't have given £500 for either of those two. Let's hope that everyone doesn't think they can buy a manual TT for £1500!
  2. After the Top Gear episode should we not be calling this the Cornish Pornographers Meet!
  3. Sunday is actually the better day for my brother also but I am not sure about John as he normally works in Comet on Sundays.
  4. Think he will be sorting out his own scratch this week as some turd has key'd his car whilst parked up in town. This one is down to the metal so not a minor scratch like yours John.
  5. No doubt there wont be much left of any of the cars after the top gear team have ragged them to death and run into each other ............ parking.
  6. I guess your not having a blue PAS Pot anymore.
  7. Lots of space and you can camp right next to your car
  8. A new edition to the cornish club? If you can make any future meets it will be nice to see you.
  9. Think I would be checking this one out very carefully. You might be lucky and just find that the two previous owners have been a bit lazy and not bothered. I should apply for the log book asap.
  10. I think you will find that you can still declare SORN by filling in the SORN application (available on line through DVLA). Not foubting the system has its flaws, but it is designed to stop people from getting ripped off by buying a stolen car. If there was no log book, how did you check the car details and above all, that it was his to sell in the first place? Having bought a stolen VW Beetle some years ago I got a little pissed off when the police turned up and towed it away to give it back to the rightful owner. This one had a log book and although the registration matched, the chassis and engine details were completely different. Luckily it only cost me a few hundred quid but I certainly learned my lesson. If the guy you bought it off is genuine I'm sure he won't mind applying for the log book. This way it takes about 14 days to come through.
  11. It will take an eternity to get the log book as they will need to write to the person named on the log book fo verify they have sold it to you. If you know the guy, it is easier to pay him to apply for it as it is just a reissue in his name. Then he can send it to you so you can tax it with the tear off slip. They brought in this new routine as too many people were not taxing cars and then there was a dispute over who was liable for back tax.
  12. Forecast: Saturday - absolutely shite. Rain all across cornwall. Don't suppose my bike will be venturing out of the garage on this day. Sunday - looks clear with Sunday evening bright and cheerful.:hyper: Lets hope teh BBC weather forecast is correct for a change.
  13. You're like a man possessed. Looking forwad to seeing this machine at our next meet.
  14. You can count me in.
  15. A mate of mine mentioned this guy to me over the weekend. Didn't know we had such luxuries in St Day. Might have to start ripping some of my motorbikes apart soon and give him some bits to do.
  16. I didn't reply as I presumed you were expecting replies from further afield and not from the Cornish lot. I'm up for it as already mentioned.
  17. Count me in (with Zed of course). Also the brother in his Zed - if he can stay sobber to drive it this time!
  18. A diet coke drinking Chelsea supporter. Can it get any worse?
  19. He's alive. We all wondered what happened to him but he's still kicking. Apparently blown up the Zed engine.
  20. I'd be up for this providing i'm not otherwise engaged on the day you choose. This is a great track.
  21. The reason your engine is so dirty is because YOU NEED TO CLEAN IT. We expect better things from Cornish Zedders.
  22. Whose the thug in the Chelsea shirt.
  23. Agree. Nice relaxing meet and ideal weather.
  24. Weather looks absolutely superb for the next 5 days so Sunday night is a fine call. Saw my brother yesterday and he is also up for this so please add Mickeybigzed onto the list - in his Zed.
  25. I'm actually away most of the weekend but should be back about 2.00pm so a 6.30pm start would be fine by me. Will see if my brother is interested but he is normally taxi driving in the evenings.
