Cornish Meeting
Ray, thought maybe the MR2 had got the better of you and you had moved away from the Z. Definately need to get something organised for the spring.

Subaru Imprezza
Totally agree. What a load of crap. If anyone ever dreams up a Zed song lets hope they sound a lot better than Mr (Mincer) Suburu. Listened to the first 20 seconds and that was more than enough thankyou.

Classic Car status
Maybe I have just never noticed it before, but the 300ZX now appears in the values section of "Classic and Sportscar". This is good news as far as I am concerned as steady price rises normally follow. Standard Zeds, with only minor mods, should therefore start to increase in value but, unfortunately, the opposite normally applies for those with huge mods. An interesting point to debate I think.

Cornish Meeting
Zogg Sorry about this, just seen your E Mail. Why don't we attempt to drum up some enthusiasm for next month. I know John Louden is keen but the rest of the "Cornish Massive" seem to have upped and buggered off! I think John works on a Saturday at Halfords so only Sundays are any good. Nice looking Zed by the way. Always fancied one of the wide body cars but can't bring myself to part with my ultra reliable N/A.

Cornish Meeting
John Next time I'm at Hafords I'll have a look. All seems to have gone a bit quiet on the Cornish Zed front. Maybe they are all tucked away for the winter. Having to use mine every day at the moment as the run about has blown its gearbox.

Cheers Legarth. Might have another look after all.

Cornish Meeting
"Get your arses up here"? We have enough trouble trying to drum up enthusiasm for a meet that's within walking distance let alone a trip up the M5. I think we will just wait and see what sort of response there is to this one first. That said, thanks for the invite.

Thanks Captain Slow, that is exacty what I am woried about. Don't want to end up with a mound of trouble. Think I might give this one a miss.

Needle sits to the left. Appears to be pulling better than my NA but I can't say that it is blisteringly fast - which is what I expected.

Cornish Meeting
OK Cornish Zedders one of us has to take a lead. I am not really into organising meets as I spend far too much time away (in the Navy) but there are now quite a few of us in this area so we could do with another gathering. I think the last one was August last year. Weather permitting, who is up for a meet next Sunday (1 Oct). Nothing spectacular, gather at the Fox and Hounds in Scorrier (where we met last year) have some light refreshments and a chat. If this day is not good for people, or its too little notice, then I am more than happy to shift right. Any one interested?

Turbo Advice
I have just looked at a UK TT and am in two minds whether to purchase. My only real concern is that the boost gauge doesn't work and I have read so many horror stories opn these cars that I reluctant to take much of a risk. I already have a N/A and this one definately feels considerably quicker through the revs. How can I tell is the turbos are any good without a gauge that is working correctly. Also, is gauges packing up a common problem and how easy are they to fix. Any advice appreciated.

please help me!!
Another one from Cornwall. I think we are definately going to have to arrange a meet. Anyone up for one this month? Nothing special, just an evening get together in a local pub or something. Get back from the Bulldog Bash next Monday so will give everyone a call if they are up for it. I think there must be about 5 or 6 of us down here now.

Italing Vinyl on E Bay
Thanks but I have already redone my seats in leather (£400 and 2 days bloody hard work) but had I been offered the whole lot for £500 I would have jumped at that one.

Italing Vinyl on E Bay
These kits are advertised on E Bay for £53. They look pretty good but has anyone on the forum bought one? If so, are they recommended? I presume they are a sod to fit but I have already used a leather kit to redo my seats and am very pleased with the results so am not fussed about some time consuming work.

oil dipstick ???
Start the car and pull the dip stick out. If she is fuming or pushing out oil, it could be a broken piston ring - worst case scenario of course. Then get it compression checked.

Black 300ZX Redruth
John really pleased with my wheels. 18" multi spokes with new 225 tyres for £650 (new). Chap bought them as a job lot in an auction and wanted to move them on as they only fit a few cars (Zeds included). Always up for a meet but cant make Aug 10-13 as I'm off to the Bulldog bash on my Rocket 111. Hopefully I will just have sobered up for the return trip. On leave soon so any evening would be fine come August - even if it's a quick gathering for a beer or two at one of the local pubs (just so we can renew aquaintances). Ray was the man for organising but since he purchased his MR2 it's all gone quiet.

Black 300ZX Redruth
John This is probably they guy who lives between Lanner and Carharrack. Mentioned the club to him but he is a bit of an old boy and doesn't even have internet. Z looks nice from a distance but is a little rough close up.

John Just so we can improve the Cornish stats, go to the events section and complete the second thread down - location. Your name is missing.

Red Zed Penzance
Just back from holiday - but it was me. Roof off, as normal, just out for a quick blast and trying out my new 18" alloys.

Black Z Redruth Cornwall.. K reg
John There are actually quite a few Zs in this neck of the woods. I know there is a short wheel base (Pearl White) in Helston. mentioned the site to him but doesn't look as though he has joined. Grey one in Redruth - also stopped and talked with him but presumably also not interested. I have also seen a flash blue one with megga wheels and a white strip through the bonnet. Must live in Redruth area as its quite often parked up in the Coppice. If they all joined we could have one of the biggest followings.

Can you really lower a Z 114mm??
These pop up on flea bay every couple of weeks. Have often considered purchasing them but at a buy it now price of under £60 (plus postage from the USA) i didn't think they would be much cop. Might just be a bargain, but I doubt it - unless anyone out there knows different?

Cornwall Calling!
What ever is going as far as I am concerned - although run to the sun is more up the street for my kids rather than me! Sold my Beetle convertible 10 years ago.

HELP!!! Broken Cambelt!!!
Let your mate have a go. My son is 20 and has only been an apprentice for 12 months. It took him nearly 7 hours but as Nissan wanted £1000+ I thought what the hell. All it cost me was the price of the bits (belt and waterpump) and a little bit to keep him in beer. All in all £150. She has now done over 1000 miles and is running like a dream. He reckons that it wasn't difficult - just time consuming.
