  1. If you take a look at the FSM pages I've attached here you will see for the mirror motors (bf-61) and mirror heaters (el-69) that no chassis grounding in the doors is shown to complete the circuits. The +ve and ground is swapped for the motors up/down and left/right operation through the loom connectors D4 and D104. The heater circuits likewise powered +12v and ground through the same connectors. bf-61.pdf el-69.pdf
  2. As Eric says it is quite normal for the oil to be that colour, don't worry about it.
  3. The oil cooler system works at high rpms (and therefore high enough oil pressure) to drive some of the hot circulating oil to the cooler. For the most part under "normal" driving conditions the oil cooler isn't fully used. The smaller cooler in front of the oil cooler is your power steering cooler and was only fitted to Euro/UK spec cars.
  4. B to B memory lane! August is good for me. Thanks for organising this Howard - setting 'B' eh?
  5. Something to consider - the Bose front enclosures are tuned specifically for the original Bose driver and the base reflex port. Larger speakers mounted in them have generally not worked out so well on low frequency extension but tend to perform better on midrange than the OEM "infinite baffle" brackets. I have a pair of Bose front enclosures if you want to have a go.
  6. Well done for taking the project on Baz! What condition are the structural elements in under all that crud?
  7. Looking good Howard. Did you use a dial gauge to measure the run out and adjust accordingly?
  8. Now you just being pedantic! Given that the car looks like it has been made out of some ill fitting aircraft cargo door, surely any old rivet will do?
  9. Should have used aircraft spec countersunk rivets for improved airflow over the body and better finish.
  10. Rob, these are the pages from the FSM which cover the alignment measurements for the engine compartment including those for the lower radiator support. These will help when you are setting up for welding the replacement part in. bf-62.pdf
  11. Euro spec in Ukraine:
  12. and makes it more difficult "Call for further details" but omits the number.
  13. Swiss Euro spec - good find Gary!
  14. A proper test! Good to know that.
  15. Yes, you can now post (reply and quote options available). So, what time do you want to set off to the show from Tesco's?
  16. You can get them here: https://www.z1motorsports.com/steering-wheel-and-airbag/gza/gza-steering-wheel-emblem-p-7339.html I'm not sure how well they fit the four spoke wheels as they replace the existing OEM badge which fits in a recess.
  17. Some links for you discussing the topic of lower radiator support removal and replacement (hints and tips): http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/main/view/1027679/Removing-tack-welds-on-radiator-support.html http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2254184/Its-not-that-bad.html http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:KGlOvK7kZN0J:www.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_remove_and_replace_a_90_Nissan_300zx_radiator_support+&cd=18&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk (cached copy - easier to read)
  18. I wouldn't mind a copy myself!
  19. Congratulations to them both!
  20. I'd thought I'd ask!
  21. Most high peformance cars today use semi automatic gearboxes that don't have the torque converter as found in the Z32 automatic - this gives the performance feel of a manual gearbox by providing a direct connection between the engine and wheels. I'm also happy to be one of those "kidz"!
  22. What does "pre 599" mean?
