What he said, spot on mate. Everyone is quick to blame McClaren (yes, he is useless anyway), but it aint him out there on the pitch, it's those overrated, overpaid primadona's (sp?). The FA need to go right back to the root of it all before we will ever have a decent team, we need home grown talent, not imports! They need to introduce a limit on foreign players in a team, then maybe in 5yrs or so we may see more home grown players breaking through the ranks, then there will be more players to choose from, not the same bunch of underachievers we've been playing for years.

My z was probably doing around 17-20 mpg, basic mods (chip, jets etc), just couldn't afford it if anything went wrong, sad i know, but we dont all have £2k sat around waiting to replace tubs or box. Got a supra n/a after that, was brilliant on fuel compared to the z ( have been in a tt supra, was worse on fuel than the z!!), but got bored with not having the 'kick' of a/the turbo/s, so went for an mr2 turbo, reasonably modded, around 250-260 bhp, still very economical, all things considered. Can safely say that it's on a par with, if not better on fuel than my 2.0 mondeo daily hack! But, if money was no object, i'd be back in a z straight away, it's the only car i've ever felt 'close' to, without trying to sound all weird! :)

They're both 15yr old cars, the associated problems are gonna be pretty much the same nick, crispy wiring, turbo seals etc etc... As for looks, the z is 'sleek & sophisticated' while the skyline is 'brutal & aggressive'. The skyline was designed as a race car, hence the bland dash, it doesn't need to have a 'designer dash', you only get what you need. There are more skylines about that've had £k's thrown at them than z's, so finding a nicely modded one should be easy. Oh, and theres always the fact that you could buy 2 z's for the price of a half decent v-spec. Anyway, what happened to you wanting a supra? :x: That'd be my choice, look better than a skyline & just as tuneable.

Thinking of going down the 'family car' route, but still want something with enough power to scare me when i need it to! Anyone had any experience of either of these cars? I'm swaying towards the legacy at the moment, purely because i can get a newer one for less than the galant & the galant is very rare in manual form. Galant is 1996>> model Legacy is 1998>> model

Have heard from a reliable source, that tesco are winding down their supplies of 99ron, not sure of the reasons, or if it affects all stores yet. Have been using it for about 2yrs now, never any probs, bit of a shame really, as it's quite local to me... :(
