  1. Here you go mate
  2. Mine's a UK JDM 2007 long wheel base TT slicktop targa SWB non-turbo in bright pink :tt2: I'd love a slicky tho, never even seen one in the flesh :(
  3. Cheers, I roughly dremmelled it out, then filed the rest, lots of patience is required I tell thee! I've got 2 inverters from the cold cathodess from a couple of computer scanners (from another idea I had, was going to light up the rear number plate using one, would look great, bit too fragile tho), but they don't light them up unfortunately, so I'm going to put one in a little box with a battery, and a couple of metal prongs so I can zap my mates when I'm bored...
  4. Cheers peeps, I'll be changing the EL strips to yellow ones I think at some point...
  5. Did anyone else who bought the '300ZX' inserts from Smithy have a go at fitting them anywhere? I did mine today, quite happy with them, obviously no where near as good as the proper ones, but still look good, no pics of them lit up yet as I need a couple of inverters, any body got a couple? Here ya go...
  6. Haha, cheers guys :thumbup1: Request sent...
  7. These should be of help matey... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=116565 http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=109547
  8. I used a cylindrical vac tank from a primera, fits neatly next to the battery and works a treat, if I can get some pics later I will do...
  9. Yeah mate, that's you EGR, unscrew whats left from the manifold (will be very tight), find a suitable bung for it (I found an iron one from a plumbers that fitted perfectly) and remove the two metal pipes that go to the underneath of the plenum, make some plates to block the holes under the plenum, or use the ends of the pipes filled with weld, and remove the actual EGR unit in the centre at the back of the engine, 2 bolts hold it on, have a search for 'EGR delete' or 'EGR removal', should find a guide....
  10. My odometer wasn't working when I bought mine, upon closer inspection, someone had super glued all the cogs/numbers together! So who knows how long ago that was done...
  11. Grind some off :) I just had a look, I've got a few but only up to bout 14mm...
  12. What about a spark plug socket? They have the hex on the outside to get a spanner on... I'd either impact wrench it off, weld up a box spanner, or get a ring spanner in the vice, get it really glowing red hot, bend it to shape with a hammer, then drop it in some water. Just a few thoughts matey...
  13. Probably not, but any of these any use? http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=21mm+box+spanner&_sacat=See-All-Categories
  14. Me : Jeggrey Tubor
  15. I lost mine when I last had the column off, and it annoys me incredibly every time I start her.... :(
  16. The grey box, I binned mine, that's where the annoying reversing beep comes from, I removed it, kept it in the garage for a bit, had no problems, so I binned it...
  17. Mrs Hollowpoint, have you got a sister? :)
  18. I like that :)
  19. Not as close as me :scooter: The lid from a large jar of coffee fits bang on, blag a tire valve from kwik fit or somewhere, drill a hole in the coffee lid and pop it in, then remove the nose panel, then maf, then shove it in and tighten up the jubilee type clip, bung a compressor on it, only a few PSI, pressurise the system and listen for leaks, but, you may hear sneaky leaks from the valves in the engine, depends what position the engine is in... I made one and it worked a treat, posted if for free to someone on here to borrow, and never saw it again
  20. One from today whilst I was working on my roof.....
  21. Yes, there should be a seal along the top of the nose panel, sorry no pics tho as im on my phone.
  22. I was having a particularly bad day, nothing was going right, seemed as tho the Zed was pulling down my pants and spanking my arse, hence the pic :)
  23. No mate, you can't use the auto speed sensor, it's different, they are coloured, but off the top of my head, all I can remember, is that the auto one is green.... I'm not sure whether the actual sensor is different or just the cog on the end is... (sorry, not much help)
