jacking by the sill
after my blowout yesterday, the AA guy had to get rear wheel off. Its been lowered 40mm and has veilside skirts and a wide arch kit. He started jacking from the sill with a trolley jack - I told him no, and told him to do it from under the axle, where I thought would have been safer. anyway - long story short - he done it from the sill - is this recommended/right?? I know if you jack from the front sill you can pop the wing out slightly and damage it - but the rear looks like no damage has been done - luckily.

TC & Timers
Anyone else had a prob with their turbo timer after installing Traction Control? Timer was set to auto and varied its run time based on rpm (tapped into ecu wire) All worked fine. Installed Racelogic (tapped into same wire - I actually tapped into the timer wire about half an inch up where that tapped into ecu wire), and TC works fine. However - now my timer wont work on auto - seems that TC is stealing the signal. It shouldnt make any difference that I tapped into the timer rpm wire as its only half inch away from original wiring), and the fact that tc is working show the signal is coming up that wire.

re trim info
Cant fault Petes seats and service. Seen him today again actually, and he fitted my new red/black leather seats - can post pics if you want. Quality is spot-on - good fit - good quality leather. dont know about Lukes but I will go back to Pete everytime I change my car :)

Anyone know how to copy protected dvd's
from what I remember - the red discs are Sony copy protected. Slysoft AnyDVD removes protection but needs frequent updates for the new algorithms

What do you think of my front bumper mod so far?
looks miles better than standard mate, you done a right good job there. Personally I wouldve used a plain black mesh (although I hate advertising brands anyway) - each to there own though. But hats off to ya, good job and different

Bloody Hi-Tech gadgits
agreed - mac security is an extra but takes seconds to break. WEP is pretty piss poor but better than none. Disabling broadcast of SSID is something some people do to, but again - takes seconds to find with the right tools. Depending on brand of router you can lower signal power etc. At the end of the day - WPA2 is the safest way to go ...... for now :)
