  1. I had prob with my power steering on old zed, it was a common fault I was told just remade the connection that went into the speed sensor fixed the heavy/light steering problem.
  2. was gonna say turbo timer if you have one, but that would prob splice into your rev counter wire. the speed sensor I thought was from engine/gearbox that monitors speed and adjusts the weight of the power steering. You mean the speedo wire?
  3. dont think so *he thinks* :)
  4. might be worth removing his mobile number from your 1st thread so everyone and their mothers dont have it ;)
  5. doing an oil change and hoping the 4 litres is enough. I somehow have the feeling it needs more like 4.3 litres, but im invariably wrong :D
  6. I thought If you remove the connection that goes to the pas pot, short it out (Solenoid side) (push a paperclip into both pins and insulate it with some tape, this locks the rear hicas. Not a proper way of doing things like but good for testing. This will not show up if you are running low on fluid now though as you get a constant warning light on your dash.
  7. mine needs doing too Ive been looking at importing the exact same model. If you want a black zed to try....... ;)
  8. I may be interested in centre section if you still have it mate
  9. Righto - just got some Castrol :( Got some Castrol Edge 0w/40 @ £37.99 for 4 litres!!!! Their blurb say its the best synthetic oil they do for any high performance engine so it cant be that bad......... I still would've prefered millers oil tho'
  10. Yeah millers is what John Dixon recommended and used before trying to source some local. Cheers
  11. from what I recall, someone posted about some stupidly expensive oil that was no better in the engine than some good quality silkolene/castrol. dont get me wrong - Im not on about buying morrisons own :) But If I go by price alone, walk in and ask for the most expensive oil - it may not be right for my engine. on another note - arent the halfords filters ok now? I heard about that valve but thought it was sorted? Local nissan dealerships dont have any filters in and I was doing it tonight.... :(
  12. Cheers Dave Dunks just posted it anyway tho Top lads ! :)
  13. anyone know how to rip it to an mp3?
  14. http://cupcate.vox.com/library/audio/6a00c2251f58b7549d00d10a7beb598bfa.html
  15. Im going to halfrauds tonight to pick some up for a change along with a filter. Last lot of oil I bunged in was castrol magnatec. I'm just wondering whether to put some fully synth in - bare in mind I dont thrash tits off the car, but boost is upped. Shall I just go for some 10/40 - I may go Castrol RS0?. (Also bear in mind I dont do winter driving in it :) ) P.S. I did search threads but there were that many out there stating different things I just wondered if anyone had any new comments. I mean I know any semi/fully will protect car and stop it going bang, just wanted some good stuff. I know expensive is not always the way to go. Cheers
  16. do you put on the battery terminals after cleaning to stop green fur building up time after time. Friends battery keeps furring over on negative terminal.

  22. one of the bike mags had the right idea a while ago. Find a thieves hotspot, park up a "stealable bike/car". Park a white van at a safe distance - loaded with 5 large men and bats. Wait until some thieving gypo tries to steal it - jump out and beat crap out of him. Do a few times in the same area - crime goes down overnight. They actually showed photos in the mag, and proved bike crime went down in the area.
  23. One of my managers, has asked me for a favour, and I agreed. Their (personal) laptop is broken, and I can get a screen and fix it for free. Ordered it and waiting for part to come. ( I can get certain parts free - long story.....) Just found out now, said manager - 2 days later started going to other managers and saying they are not happy with my timesheets, and I have just been *****cked. So I have just contacted screen supplier and cancelled order - gonna tell em what they can do with their feckin screen!!!
