picked this up at the weekend 320D - loads of torque and an absolute joy to drive. Its actually made me think of gettting shot of the zed :x: and spending more and getting the 330d fully loaded version. I know the minute I get back in the zed though I'll appreciate that :D I came back on the motorway sat at 75mph and returned 54 mpg !!! Cant fault it

have a quick squizz down page goes into engine internals, octane ratings, additives, cheap mods etc.etc http://www.carbibles.com/fuel_engine_bible.html I found it quiet useful.

check out my thread! one of the best games I played - Ive been playing for another 3 hours tonight - sad git!! the 300zx looks absolutely mint on replays - need to work out how to save it and post it on here :) So far I have a Datsun/Nissan 69 'z a Tommy Kaira? Skyline GT-R a poopra etc etc etc gonna get me a fairlady :D

btw - I think driving the 300zx on the arcade section is incredible - graphics on replay are spectacular :D and you get car damage !!!

Dont spose anyone wants to "gift" me the 300zx in Forza 2 Spent hours tuning up a poopra last night trying to win races to get enough money to buy. then seen that players can "gift" a car to someone - anyone got a spare 300zx? :) Im now running a 69' Z that is tuned to the dogs danglies but undriveable round corners :(

NT Timestamps. Im trying to work out NT timestamps. I have the hex of e.g - 01 c2 fe 1f e0 91 11 40 Apparently - this should equate to April 8th 2003 22:40:38 Right What I have so far is UT (Unix Time) = A * (NT Time) + B A = Ticks in 100ns so the value of a is 10 to the power of -7 NT Time is the hex above B = 11644473600 (Seconds between 1 Jan 1601 & 1 Jan 1970) Can anyone please help or advise me if they can somehow do the maths to get a time of April 8th 2003 from the hex I gave at the start :) simple - NOT

yeah, looking more into the golf/bora's now Love the audi but hard to come by cheap :) Really I only wanna spend around £4k and have seen some golf GT TDI 115 6Speeds under 100K for that. I think the bora and the golf have the same trim and engine?

Cheers I heard from 2002 they were meant to be sorted I read it was something to do with harmonic resonance causing turbine to crack? Apparently theres a cheap fix to modify but couldnt find it anywhere. Im thinking the Bora is a good buy.

its between a few cars the beemer was pushing my cash. I heard the early 320d (Pre 2002) were subject to turbo failure. Cars Im thinking of are VW Bora TDI (Pref 130 or 110 SE) Audi A4 TDI SE 110 BMW 320D (still unsure about these from hearing bad things about turbo's)

just went down to pick it up and didnt bother. Got my refund back. I was told it was a mint condition. didnt even get to inside, or to test drive. 2 bald tyres, the third tyre had a chunk out the sidewall where it had been kerbed. all 4 alloys were chewed up and scuffed, one had a right ding out of it. front lower bumper had a heavy scuff (not polishable out). I know its only wheels and tyres, but if thats the care he had taken of them what about the engine, etc. so just told him I want a refund.

Not a zed but our new runaround :) 2002 320D 150HP good for upto 61mpg on motorway It also means we dont need to use our indicators anymore and also able to park in disabled spaces ;) put deposit down and pick up tomorrow :hyper:

I can vouch for that on my old zed. removed cats - lots of smoke - very shortly after - one dead zed.

Greg stated in a previous thread about checking marks on pulleys line up - I done this and photos are attached - Im pretty sure it hasnt jumped a tooth. You can see the position of my cas to get 15-16 deg tho - it should be central. Does this mean I could have a buggered cas? Secondly - under the throttle body theres a small pipe with nothing attached (you can see this in the 2nd picture just above the cambelt) - should this be plugged or anything?

fuel pump is a possibility. coil. cheers fella think I have a spare one of my old 'un. how did you work out which one it was?

whats the best way of testing injectors? While car is running do you just put a screwdriver on each, other end to your ear and listen for a steady ticking? is there any way of telling if they are breaking down or clearing up at higher rpm's? I have conzult free and datascan - I can isolate cylinders 1 by 1. Car seems to hesitate until sort of 3rd gear high revs then it stutters and just flies. Like something has just cleared itself out. Ta
