I just tried that Herts insurance - I was with Flux or Carole Nash before and paying £400 for guaranteed value and unlimited miles with all mods declared. Herts insurance want £850 for a 1000 mile yearly limit :shock: Looks like I'll try flux/nash again later

Morning all and I wish you all a happy new year..... Gonna put Zed back on the road over next month I think - thinking of selling the fireblade - too bloody cold...... Few bits and bobs to do to it so I thought Id resubscribe and start trolling through whos on here, whats been happening, buying some goodies.... I believe Si (orange zed's gone) - think I saw his zed on pistonheads? anyway - heres to a happy new year :duffer:

last few months have been hit and miss Im now in the full throngs of a house move and will be internetless for a few months too :( - have to use works connection when I can ;) With cold miserable weather, dark nights and stress of moving along with a few other things it gets hard to check up on here. I started the zed for the first time in months last week just to go round the block ..... Forgot how the Zed makes me smile in performance terms - what a cracking car :) !!! I recommend you all lay up your zed for a few months, drive a diesel then jump back in the zed and see what you feel :) Until then I had thought bout selling her, but now in the immortal words of shrimpy, no chance :) Shame Im not on here much now but will poke my nose in from time to time until I get sorted.... I spoke to someone on here a while ago (very helpful) however I forgot who it was :) Just sold my house. Do I rent or buy again? Rent - was looking at paying around the 500pcm mark then save another £500 pcm and put it into savings for mortgage at later date. Buy - Looking around the £160K mark so think mortgage on a 15 yr deal will be about £1300 pcm by the time ive done dont know whether to rent for a few years and save up - renting is dead money but if im saving does that outweigh it? Is now a good time to buy? Cheers for any advice/replies. Most we could take a mortgage on is 20 years due to age. Want to live life a bit and have holidays etc - if we rent thats great but worries that we may not afford house to retire in as such.

Zed is SORN'ed over winter and is slowly being cleaned up and tweaked etc. Problem is this.... Im so into riding the Fireblade again not sure if I wanna drive again.... Forgotten how addictive biking is, minute the sun comes out I dont think about breaking the Zed out, I bang the leathers on and start up the blade.

My neighbour about 7 doors up (no idea who he is - never seen/spoke to him) has just bought a red Zed Think its a K Reg - very tidy......... seen it outside his house over last month.

i thought v reg was later than a mk2 escort? I wouldve put a v at mk 4 or somewhere round there. talking of which. my mate has a mk2 escort - he taking bodyshell off and fitting it to a Sierra 4x4 floorpan and running gear (cut down to fit tho) then dropping a cossie lump in. waiting to hear how its all gone I used to have a couple of modded Mk1 escorts - mint cars - rare as **** now too Only seen one mk2 in ages and that was the harrier if you remember them.
