  1. dont need either now - think Ive fixed me HID's I bought from you Danny :)
  2. that'll be something I spose - Cheers Vinz. Im hoping this evening that the sealant will have *held* it. Might be time to get som eproper inserts in lights and not the bacolite mod :)
  3. which would you recommend mate - spray on white lithium or some silicone grease from a tube :)
  4. After cleaning all the green gunge out from some electrical connections I have a tube of silicone grease and some spray white lithium. After reading the blurb on the spray lithium it provides excellent electrical resistance!? - surely this is not what you want. Anyone know how your meant to use this or the best way of sealing the connections - do I spray on grease/silicone - let it dry then put connection spades back on?or just clip everything back in then spray afterwards - (this will not touch the electrical connections tho as there is plastic bushings round. Thanks
  5. dont think so :( You need to have the hands of a small japanese boy to sort of get anywhere near, let alone try and fabricate something. Ill see if this holds, if not I'll cry.....
  6. the clip bit is still there - its the bit it hooks onto to lock bulb in place that snapped.
  7. now I know why my zed has been laid up for a year - I forgotten how stressful working on them are. Removing the drivers side dipped beam light and there is a metal spring that clips it in place. the catch it locks behind (part of the headlamp unit) snapped so now I cant fix my HID back in place!!! :( I have tried a *small* touch of silicone sealant around the edge of the fixing to see if that will hold it in place - I will now in 24 hours. Im just hoping sealant wont be a prob with temp of HID and that it holds - otherwise I guess its a new headlamp assembly and a bumper off job!!! :(
  8. Is it replace every 3 years or 60K? Cheers If car has been sat for a year does that still count :)
  9. cheers - thing is Im trying for my mot in a few days so needed to sort out tomorrow. They look like the same connector as the H7 I have but Im guessin the H7 are not gonna fit. May have to rethink.
  10. the dipped lights on mine have a 2 pronged connector going to it. My local have just sold me some H7v as these are the only bulb with 2 prongs - However just seen on here I may need H3's instead Will the H7 fit or shall I take them back? If I get the H3 I presume I just leave on of the spades on the connector unplugged? Ta
  11. cheers - coz its dark at the mo does the main beam have a single element too? - Its been so long and I cant quiet remember whats what - if it is that will be a 2 prong too I guess. If it does that doesnt explain how it comes on low with the dipped beam but switches to high..........
  12. Before I can get my car MOT'd Id better get the lights working and I cant. I fitted some ROXIE Heart HID's a few years ago and one has failed - now trying to work out if was bulb, wiring or transformer - the other one has failed :( Just for the MOT i was gonna fit some std bulbs in and start from fresh - I have 2 H4 55/60W (3 prong) bulbs - Are these the right ones to refit? - Its just the original wiring has 2 spade connectors. When you put sidelights on my lower sidelights come on. When you switch to dipped the HID's should come on (Round side bulbs)? (even though at the moment the dipped main beam light intermittently comes on). When you switch to main it cuts the side lights and the main beam comes on. does this sound like bad earth or will it all work when I refit new dipped lights. does any of this make sense? Ive decided to slash my hand open on glass and superglued it back together and this is proving a problem trying to manoevre your hands to get in and sort it all out.
  13. try mce mate (MC Edwards)

  17. nah, I know of 3 elites now + mine that have failed. just arranged for it to go back to ms
  18. I believe so mate - I have the full kit to do on mine. someone told me you need a press- others said you could burn them off with a blowtorch
  19. *Thinking* of getting shot of my front bumper and replacing it with a Scarab or the like instead - Mine is an original 99 spec bumper not a copy. I think it makes my car look too soft or something at the front - anyone with a different bumper (not the original or 99 spec) want shot/swaps/sell?
  20. yeah - my rear bumper is a wings west and its not for the wide arch kit - whoever moulded it tho done a good job I think tho as I never knew when I bought it.....
  21. dont think mine is either..... didnt you chop all yours y'self Stella? top job!
  22. cheers - I had heard that but if i fix it now it will be out of warrant y in a weeks time and i wont be able to get it sorted. (I dont think it discharges static - its meant to heat up the solder to allow it to *run* and cure any dry joints) - I cant see how that works either looking at the melting temp of solder but I do agree wrapping it in a towel has worked for lots of people.
  23. Had my xbox 360 Elite for 11 months and 20 days now..... Loving COD 4 and COD WoW on it. Treated meself to the PS3 a few days ago and guess what..... I now have the ring of Death on the 360 - not happy - this has happened to all my friends who have had to return to Micorsoft and lost their gamesaves etc- well they aint having my hdd - Shop I bought from has closed down so gonna try calling microsoft on Friday and see what they will do. PS3 is fine for Bluray and media but dont rate it for the quality of games - I dont think Turismo 5 touches Forza 2 on the 360 - also (personally) dont like the ps3 controller. Still happy with it but wish ms would sort out the 360 probs!!!!
  24. thanks mate - all the best to you all too.
