  1. Good job the valve wasn't punctured :) I bet the owner felt a bit deflated after seeing that :) etc. etc.
  2. I've got a 330mm Nardi in mine, woudln't say it's too small, but have to admit if it was my daily I would've left the stock steering wheel on as mine was in good condition and the chunkyness and leather felt nice!!
  3. Some brands of tyres do have worse tyre cavity noise than others, in certain high luxury cars they put absorbers in the tyre cavity's for NVH reasons. I would do as someone has sggested and swap the rear wheels back and go for a drive see if the noise goes away.
  4. I'd say that's wheels scrubbing rather than a wheel bearing. I once put some wheels on my Alfa, one was slightly bent on the back and was scrubbing on the lower arm every rotation! doh. Yours is most likely tyres on arch.
  5. Cool, Thanks guys. The one I need is for the side repeater. The one on the left of your photo Mark. Drop me a PM please. Many Thanks, Simon
  6. Do they insure modified cars? Cause they wouldn't quote for mine annoyingly!
  7. I need your help with my below wanted thread for an indicator connector please, I need one urgently: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?164270-Indicator-Connector-plug-and-couple-of-roof-clips
  8. My DET sensor sits where the pexcom write up points to not the engine by numbers diagram. However it is possible to jumble thos rear connectors as I have previously plugged it into a VTC one on the loom mistakinly! Best way is to look at the wire colours on the main loom side connector http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?151003-Colour-wiring-diagrams DET sensor should be a white and a black wire(earth shield). The VTC connectors should be a red/black and a green/black wire.
  9. The main loom side connector is the female one.......hope it solves your problem bud!
  10. I got K sports aswell. If you look at the actual internal vents they go the right way to disperse cr4p and heat etc. but the grooves on the outer surface are there more for just roughing up the pad surface a bit and aesthetics but yes I agree they appear to go the wrong way on K sports and you'll get lots of 'mechanics' telling you they're on the wrong sides of the car....they're wrong.
  11. Looks pretty rusty, soak the nut with plus gas or other brand release agent then give it another go. Does the other side one move?
  12. Seems the conclusion of the thread is that it's the turbo oil seal(s) healthy compression test kinda proves the theory out I guess....always worth ensuring your PCV system is in correct working order before changing the turbos though!
  13. The little black box is the external temp sensor for the digi dash display and climate control..........I know this cos I removed mine with the aircon, getting annoyed with it being -86 degrees or whatever outside on the digi display inside now so gonna put it back on at some point! It'll be just fine where you've mounted it.
  14. Mine didn't fit at all when I fitted my japspeed decats so I ground off the tabs on the gearbox hangers and ran without. The two sides of exhaust were level with each other though. I've since remade my own hangers and cut and rewelded flanges where needed and now my exhaust fits great without stress on any of it. Pretty much a completely custom exhaust now though!
  15. Agreed, the pantera is ace. The DB3S just looks like a cheap kit car.....some people have waaaaaaaay too much money!
  16. Good luck finding an exhaust for your SWB. Took me a while! Most people seem to go on US ebay and buy one from there imported.
  17. I too would keep it if it's your road car. Super hicas is faster than the normal HICAS most of us have/had on our early Z's. Just replace the outer ball joints and arms.
  18. Using a Blitz Dual Solenoid jobby. Seems ok so far, you need the manual and to do a bit of research into settings before starting to use it though
  19. Guessing rear as you don't need fronts for MOT. As it looks like yours is a jap spec the fog light will be someones homebrew fitment so is hard to say what could be wrong.
  20. I thought the TPS was supposed to be set at 0.50......guess I'll be resetting mine to 0.44 then!
  21. I'd of kept it if my car was a daily, but ditched it as it's not and also had the engine in and out lots of times! But agree it's not worth removing, just for the sake of it.
  22. I've read your above blog before Redwine and it scared the crap out of me lol! Luckily my slicky seems fairly solid...touch wood!
  23. Wheel bolts all tight?
  24. Awesome, thought it was black in the first pic. Love the midnight purple!
  25. What was the end result in this Spritely 56? Guessing it passed else you woulda posted again!?
