  1. I cant see it hurting for a couple of thousand miles, worst that could happen is you melt the rubber dust caps on them, these were not even part of the MOT till a year or two ago.

Have seen something similar on a Z where the autobox oil level was low, with OD on the car would judder and almost stall while slowing down but with OD off it was ok.
  3. Happy Birthday Andy, have a good one. :)
  4. Lots of people hate Clifford, personally I have had the G5 for over a year with no problems just make sure that whoever fits it knows what he is doing.
  5. My nephew has a Focus and has fitted twin front lights to it, at the moment for dipped beam one pair of lights come on and for main beam the other pair come on, what can we do so that when on main beam all four lights are on? cheers guys :)
  6. Brillo pads is the way to go, got this from a man that knows all about shiney metal, thanks Smithy.
  7. Oh, and insurance whilst enroute should be covered by the shipping company but you better get it in writing or you will have no hope of a claim should anything happen. I didnt pay him till I had seen the car and was happy with it, this is something he was very reluctant to do but I twisted his arm.
  8. I got mine through AutoAdvan, FOB is freight on board, on top of that and shipping you will have to pay to register it, tax it and MOT it.
  9. Anyone got any suggestions for what I can use to clean my plenum? I have a nice shiney one to go on but thats going to have to wait till next year now as I have way too many other things planned but I would like to clean up the old one for now in situ.
  10. I dont think they suit the car but if it does it for you go for it.
  11. Are you anywhere nice Andrew? if they are being replaced soon then get them heated up and removed.
  12. Got up at 8, picked up the spanners then work on the Z, 10 hours later put spanners down ready for tomorrow. Time to get the engine bay as good as the exterior. :) :)
  13. Cheap and zx should not, in fact can not be used in the same sentence.
  14. Morning everyone, the two metal pipes on the front of the engine that go off to the top and bottom hoses on the radiator, is there a gasket to go in there or is it just liquid gasket, if it is what one do you guys use? thanks all.
  15. I think the water problem is more to do with the bottom splash guard being missing, I went for the Blitz as I was told the sound you get from it is a lot nicer than other makes and I must say I am happy with the noise it makes, on the downside some people say that it doesnt filter as good as others, there was a write up on some test done in the USA a while ago where Apexi had the best filtration, Blitz the best air flow rate and HKS came out worst in general but that is all from memory and I cant find the link now sorry.

The glass breaks easily so be careful, I used an old knife longways if you see what i mean so as I gently prised the glass the pressure was not all in one small spot and you need black mastic to put it back together, again care is needed here as you dont want water getting in, I took all the old mastic off as I thought it was the best way to get a good seal but it took all night and I began to wish I had not started but no water is getting in now so I am happy.
  17. You perve, but your right we need more pics

For the ultimate lights you need HIDs and chromed and cleaned, I did and the lights are awesome, if money is tight then the clean will help a lot, from looking at mine they didnt look dirty but I took them apart and when you clean the dome glass piece you realise how bad they are.

Clean them inside and it makes a big difference, best way is to take them apart and do them but its a lot of work, you can use a coat hanger with a cloth on the end, the dome glass you can see inside is the main culprit for a layer of dirt that stops the light getting through.
  20. As above, today parked up at East Coast Extreme, think we were the only 2 zeds there.
  21. Just to clear it up as I must have got people thinking I was going to break the Zed in my sig with the 99 spec lights etc and had a few pm's asking for stuff already, I own 2 Zeds, the one I am going to break I will keep most of the goodies on it and advertise later anything thats for sale.
