  2. :nelson: :nelson: nah credit where its due, some of us want to follow what he has done but go all engine and hopefully get the respect that goes with it.
  3. In fact cant we have the Advanced tuning forum renamed the TT tuning forum (the cheaper option)
  4. Comments like this are just going to make us try harder, if I was a cheap skate I would take the cheap option and go buy a TT ;) ;)
  5. btw subscribe and you will get a much better step by step guide by someone that actually knows what they are talking about, best £20 you will spend on the Zed. ;) ;)
  6. Underside of the plenum, one each side, pull the hose off the back, take the pcv valve out, put new one in, all pretty difficult as theres no room to get your hand in, go to put hose back on and realise it split when you removed it cos it was so brittle, swear a lot, get some plasters for your cut and bleeding hands get new hoses and jobs a goodun :D
  7. Glad you mentioned to drink it first, I had visions of Steve sat there with his todger in a pint glass ooo er perhaps I should not have said that, cue all the batty boy comments :x: :x:
  8. Mate that looks and sounds very painfull and in the picture it looks like its sat on a pallet!!!! was it really that big
  9. Been caught on the M25 and done it, I had passed the point of caring who saw, it had to happen.
  10. I had tickets to see them at Crystal Palace but had to cancel due to work, im gutted, I knew they would be good.
  11. That reminds me I sent you a PM about having a plenum bead blasted internally, now I know why you aint replied, must be a right pain in the a**e for you.
  12. I wondered why your pictures had disappeared from under your threads Dave, hope all is ok, can I ring you tomorrow some time regarding my engine, just let me know what time of day is best for me to ring ya.
  13. I guess this part all comes down to personal opinion, for me I want to keep the 3 ltr V6 engine as, for me it is part of what a 300ZX is, the fact that it is harder to get more and more power from this engine is a challenge and part of the fun.
  14. Just had a look and I am not working that day so could make it
  15. You could shock yourself and try Nissan, I just ordered a loads of odd bits that I didnt think they would even list anymore like the plastic caps that go over the bonnet hinges and they were all in stock in 2 days.
  16. This thread has generated 352 views and 40 replies in 3 days so maybe its time we spoke to the powers that be about a Forum specifically for the NA.
  17. I took a SWB Slicktop manual for a spin a month ago and you definately have a head start on me, it had no mods at all and I could tell it was faster than mine when she was standard as well, BUT, I will give it my best shot to beat you.
  18. look at it this way though a NA 300zx is quicker than most cars you see on the road and one with the power of a stock TT is bloody fast its only people with a death wish or who wanna race at santapod who need 500bhp!!! I never meant to start tuning my NA, I origionally bought it because I loved the look of her, then added an induction kit and it snowballed, its more of a hobby now, I want her to look sound and perform as good as possible while keeping her reliable and useable. I want emphasise the reliable and useable part, I want to be able to take the car where ever I feel like without the worry of a breakdown every week and as the car is still going to be a road car not a track car I dont want something that needs to be revved hard to make go.
  19. I will give you a call later this week Dave :D
  20. Ah I just so happen to have done just that, I have an engine sat on a stand right now and still wondering what direction to take, would love to do the work myself if possible, what sort of ideas can you or anyone out there throw my way, I would be prepared to spend about £5k as long as it gave me a TT eating monster that remaind reliable.
  21. Steevo, another member nearby :hyper:
  22. Master cylinder is in engine bay at back on the drivers side, usually has a yellow or black cap on it.
  23. This should tell you all you need to know http://www.ttzd.com/tech/linestech.html
  24. You got thunder as well then, did someone say this was July????
  25. £4k should be enough for a good one, theres a buyers guide on here which will help you a lot, just take time to get a good one and dont take the first shiney one you see.
