  1. Ive got some of that thin silkolene oil that I bought (and boy is it thin) not realising just how thin ( look it up on here its thin) so I used that to flush it as its so thin. By the way, if anyone on here is thinking of buying some its really thin ..
  2. In my mind this is well worth the money, I had painted the old ones but they still never looked up to standard hence I replaced them. I did the window pillar, targa top and small piece in the roof trims, all were an easy job, the targa trims were the most time consuming as you need to pull them apart but nothing that taxes the brain. I used this link for pointers http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/13701.html
  3. Zcentre and I just done mine :hyper: :hyper:
  4. Doesnt complete loss of spark point to PTU?
  5. I know exactly where you are coming from, I spoke to an auto electrician last week, as soon as I said 300ZX he asked if it was an import, then said no cant help you!! do they wire these things up back to front in Japan so people here cant work on them or are these people either too lazy or got so much work they can pick the easy jobs??
  6. Had a look at these quickly today but didnt have time to do them, looks like a 7mm allen key is needed, undo the two bolts then slide them off like you said, shame I dont have a 7mm allen key. :D :D
  7. Hi all, just wondered if anyone out there has changed a set of front pads on a Vauxhall Vectra, I have to do a set for a mate tomorrow and wondered if its an easy job, a brief outline of whats involved would be good so I can go in there and look like the master mechanic that I aint
  8. I am sure that the 2 metal hoops you are talking about just push into a white plastic fitting in the floor that you can see with the seat removed.
  9. Yeeha, cheers Dave, I was just thinking about that this morning   they look fantastic
  10. Heres some pictures Cos, not sure they will be any help, it has loads of bends in it
  11. Hi all, hope your making the most of the sun with the targas off (for those that have them anyway), does anyone out there know where I can get the above from for my alternator, a local auto electrician looked at my alternator and said they were both shagged but he can't do anything as he cant get the bits, I know others have had theirs repaired so they must be available somewhere. Cheers guys and girls ...
  12. I was asked by Luke to take a few pictures of these as its a new item he is going to sell so thought I would post them on here in case anyone is thinking of getting them and wants to see some fitted and working.
  13. That is one thing I have noticed, it is right in the line of view when you want to see what is following you, that with a tinted window means I will just have to drive like a saint .............. not.
  14. The clear rear reflectors are actually lights that have a red bulbs in them, I got them from Luke at the Zcentre, its a new line he is doing and that reminds me he wants some pics of them so he can put them on his site. Luke also supplied the rear 99 spec rear lights, all the exterior trim and the Stillen headlight panel. :)
  15. Might sound like an odd choice but the only car I can think of that would make me consider selling my Z is a DeLorean, its the car I saw on tv on the news when I was about 13 and it has stuck in my head ever since, I looked at one that was for sale a few years ago and they are not a drivers car, no exactly powerful, but its still in my head, I want one.
  16. I really wanted to go but couldnt because of work commitments, it looks like a really good day except for the weather, thanks for the pics and videos guys. :)
  17. You will need to ask Daves_New_ZX as a I bought the spoiler off him, it was one of the few that I liked the look of and snapped it up when he said it was for sale. Cheers Dave :D :D
  18. I have finally finished putting all the bits back on my 300 and taken a few pictures to share, it took a lot of time money and effort to get her looking this good and the pictures dont really do her justice, I will wax her and take some decent ones as soon as I can.

  23. I have done this conversion myself and I used a hot air gun (or hairdryer) ro heat the lights so they could be seperated, just done force them apart or they will break.
  24. The sealant will be available from any local motor factors, step by step guide here you go http://aus300zx.neuralmotion.com.au/tech/taillight/taillight.htm
