  1. you can get a key cut from your existing one like I did anywhere that cuts keys, the blank keys are the same import or UK.
  2. Would also be interested in a new set of keys, grest idea.
  3. Had a local specialist fit one for me (£300) and drain refil box as the first thing i really noticed about this car when i got it was the heat under the bonnet in general, it really gets hot and will kill it, decided to get a specialist do it cos i wanted them to check that the box wasnt already on its last legs and be wasting me money.
  4. Nifty red flare that really upsets the neighbours when you let it off in the garden, cant believe how much light and smoke it let off, lol, lesson learnt.
  5. Had the same problem shipping took nearly 4 months and all you do during that time is think of the damage thats being done to your gorgeous lil car, have you thought about going to Southampton Docks and seeing whats in the auctions there? im told a few z's go through every week so at least you can see what your buying in the flesh. Bought mine through a company called Autoadvan and no I wouldnt recommend them.
  6. Hi, can anyone help me by checking some part number for the 60k service, have been into Nissan today and collected the parts but some of them have different numbers to what I found on the net and dont want to start this job on Sunday and been left without a car, items are .. 1302845P86 timing belt 11720V5303 fan belt 2120042L01 thermostat 2101022P27 water pump they also said the a/c belt and power steering belt are the same and gave me 11950F6501 x 2 is that right? if any of you have your reciept and can check I would be most grateful, thanks, Richard. vehicle is a 1990 N/A.
  7. I have a kakimoto system and they are too loud, really gets to you if you drive along the motorway for any distance, I would prefer a nice tone to the exhaust than out and out loudness but we all have different tastes.
  8. Not sure where they go but i used the flexible stuff the wife uses to hang net curtains at the windows to clear my drain holes on my celica, it might work on these as well.
  9. Hi, when replacing the speedo dial on my import to a UK unit, i noticed one connection on the back was different at the top right hand corner, on the Japenese unit it was connected to a point marked 100k on the green board, on the UK dial its connected to a point marked 5k, do I need to leave as it was on the UK or change it to the Japanese way? was going to replace the whole unit of rev fuel temp in one go but one of the plugs on the back was the wrong size. Thanks, Richard.
  10. Hi ya , hope your all having fun as its nearly the weekend, anyway, any of you nice people able to tell me what the attched means? is it, change your cambelt at 94426km or was last changed at 94426km, im keen to know if I should book it in to have my wallet lightened or if im safe, thanks for looking, Richard.
  11. perhaps if you go back to Nissan and say paint code LP2 and miss the G out they might recognise it, if not I would find a motor factors that will mix up paint and put it in an aerosol, they mix paint all day long and are a lot better and more professional at it than your local halfords.
  12. LP2 is a Nissan colour dark purple used from 1994 onwards, im afraid as usual the main dealer doesnt know all he should, as for where to get it from depends exactly what u want, if its a little touch up bottle, then probably Nissan is the best place, if you are going to spray it your local Brown Brothers or Partco will be able to mix the colour, some motor factors can also mix it and put it in a spray can but you will have to ring round to find out who in your area does, also some paint manufacturers will list 2 variants of the same colour, a Number 1 shade, the most common, and also a lighter shade, which may match a faded paint finish better, and will have colour chips for you to look at and choose which is the best match although most pick the number 1 shade as there is almost no noticable difference between the 2 shades, hope it helps, if you need any more info let me know and i will try to help, use to spray cars for ICI as a technical demonstrator.
  13. Thanks Mike, thats just what i wanted to hear, your a star bud. :hyper:
  14. Hello all again, maybe a really stupid question but if I put a UK speedo in my Imported N/A other than the boost guage not working would i have an other problems or would this just not work plain and simple, any ideas guys or shall I just try it and see, thanks, Richard.
  15. Hello everyone, can anyone here give me some suggestions as to where I can get some new centre caps for my Racing Sparco NSII Python alloys, some thieving scum bag has had it away with 2 of them and so far, everyone I have asked has had no idea as they were never officially imported into the UK, cheers for any help guys ..
  16. Hi, according to the ICI colour register 732 is called Black P (ICI code PA58B) used by Nissan between the years of 87-95, dont know if its of any help but its the only black they list with that code and ICI aint usually wrong, Richard.
  17. Hi, bought one yesterday for my jap spec, the number is 088 (as listed in the parts catalogue) i believe most makes use the same numbers, if you want the full spec of size, terminal layout and ratings i have it and can forward to you, should cost you around £40 some places were trying to charge me inexcess of double that so be careful, Richard.
  18. As the men said you should definately try Houghton, £200 for me which was £150 cheaper than anyone else including light mods and i spent an evening getting loads of quotes, they even give a 12% discount for being a member here, ring Ken Salmon on 01582 867763
  19. thanks for all your feedback guys, i think i will go with the Toad alarm, will speak to Bob and get it sorted, all a great help as usual ..
  20. Hi all, want to get an alarm fitted and having rung around a few local companies i have been quoted for the following, Sigma M30, Toad A1606, Clifford Concept 300 and GT Autos 636/444. Any of you got these fitted or know someone that has, I would like to know how reliable these units are and how good they do the job, any comments would be gratefully recieved, cheers, Richard.
  21. Hi, go into your local Partco Motor Factors and ask for a tin of Bodyline Hi-Temp Trim Tack, use to come in a 1ltr tin and 250ml tin, from memory the Ltr tin was about £10.

  23. just off Valley Road here, Red 2+2 N/A would love to find a local garage i can trust any ideas? As soon as I can will post some pics, newly imported and im well chuffed .....
  24. why not try spraying holts belt dressing onto the belt and pulleys, you will be amazed how much quieter it runs and if it is them, should stop the squeak as well.
  25. Hi, just brought a NA 1991 300zx fresh from Japan, does anybody know wether i need to run this vehicle on the higher rated fuels like shell optimax or will she be ok running on standard unleaded, just wondered as ive been told that over in Japan the fuels are a higher rating (like shell optimax) than what we have here. Any help or suggestions would be gratefully recieved. Richard.
