Whats all this tosh about Z's
Doesn't surprise me, I travelled about 15000 miles in my 300 over the last 12 months, just normal servicing and replaced track rod ends due to MOT Heres to the next 12 months of fun.

Whats all this tosh about Z's
Got to agree here and sing the praises of a beautiful and reliable car, since Sunday I have been to Coydon twice, Peterborough, Norwich and a thrash round some coutry lanes to try me new Goodyear F1s, thats getting on to 800 miles and a scarey amount of petrol, but not so much as a cough or splutter once. :nana2: :nana2: :nana2:

Insurance - how much do you pay
Renewed my insurance last Friday, Houghtons wanted £288 for renewal, thats up over £80 from last year for no reason, finally went with Carol Nash for £230, that includes Green Card and breakdown recovery across Europe (all classic policy).

speedo background light bulbs
The paint that B&Q sells to go on glass to give the coloured lead glass effect can be used, remove the blue plastic cover on the bulb and paint the colour you want.

HELP...Removal of rear quarter panels...Stuck
From memory you need to remove the rear seat, then you will see 2 more 10mm nuts, undo them and it should pull away from the plastic fasteners holding it on underneath.

Induction Kits
there you go. SkylineDave has put some pictures up, you cant really go wrong fitting it as you can see, take the old airbox out and replace with your new filter, job done.

Induction Kits
I think Apexi is the favoured choice on here, personally I have a Blitz SUS cos it sounds lovely, they are an easy job to fit, hardest part is taking the old airbox out, and you only need the one, although you can get twins they are not worth it unless you are going for serious horsepower, could do pics tomorrow if you still need them then. I would not recommend the cheaper versions you see on ebay as you need good filtration and dont want crap getting into your engine, but thats just my opinion.

Fan in map light unit - WTF?
the fan spins very gently, using too heavy a grease will mean it can no longer spin, take it out again clean the grease off, try some wd40 seem to remember someone saying use ATF to lubricate it. The fan is there to direct air onto a sensor for the climate control I believe.

rubber advice
ok I will try to explain, if the tyre is 255mm wide and you took 40% of that it equals 102, then take the 235 wide tyre, if you used the same profile its 94 so the radius changes, now change the profile to 45 you get 105, give or take 3mm it keeps the radius the same, hope I didnt mess that up but I got confused somewhere in the middle as well, or just take our word for it, its right.

Z in Banzai
Havent seen Banzai but re the brakes discs, if you are saying this because of the grooves you can put either way its personal choice, one way is suppose to give better braking but eats the pads quicker, the other way is not so hard on the pads, least thats what I was told and I went with the grooves going in the direction of rotation purely as I thought it looked better. If its not this then please ignore my waffling. :slap:
