  1. That will probably be the bonnet, lots of people get it, theres a few different solutions, I put a bit of insulation tape round the bonnet latch and it cured it.
  2. You need a 10mm spanner, a proper spanner can be bought but there is no real need, air in the system will do that, when I did my new pads and discs the master cylinder gave up and had the same symptons as yours but best to start with the cheapest easiest options.
  3. Heres the order to do them in Left rear, right front, left front, right rear, ABS actuator front, ABS actuator rear
  4. I would start with bleeding them, you have to do each caliper in a certain order and the ABS unit.
  5. You would think a dealer would put some effort into selling a car, this was a dealer also who imports mainly MX5s but this was his personal car. Its not much of an advertisment for his business thats for sure.
  6. We would still have taken it for a spin if it had started just in case like you say it was a goodun.
  7. Went to see a black TT this morning, for sale £4500, rang up Saturday, the guy had own it 2 years, he describes it as a lovely looking car, awesome perormance etc etc, get there, doesnt look like its been cleaned in the 2 years hes had it, paintworks all dull, it has a flat tyre that he couldnt even be bothered to put some air in and to cap it all it wouldnt start, what a waste of time and petrol, my brother, who the car is for said if thats up for £4500 then mine must be worth £8k easily so at least some good came of the trip :hyper: oh well keep on looking I guess. Its got to be black and he wont be told that red is faster so looks like theres another member of the darkside on the way :hurl:
  8. That an impressive figure for an NA, what had been done to her to achieve 235rwhp? I am hoping to be in the 215 - 225 area when mine gets on a rolling road,I think I read on here somewhere that it was not far off a TT for performance.
  9. When are you next at the Pod then Pete? I have to work a lot of weekends but will get there even if it means I have to take a sickie :p
  10. Been there got the Tshirt and the RAC were on first name terms with me :D :D , there is not many TT's on here that I would swap mine for. :p :p
  11. It would be good idea for a seperate part for NA tuning but only if there was enough call for it so come on guys if you want it put your name down on this thread then we could ask Mr Groves nicely :D :D
  12. Nice one speedemon, what has been done to yours so far?
  13. Hi all, just wondered if any of you guys that own or have owned NA's ever had them on a rolling road, I am getting near to the end of the mods that I am doing for now and want to get some comparisions for when I get mine done.
  14. Now thats much better, I had recorded a turbo psssst and was having to press play on my cd player everytime I changed gear, then rewind it before the next gear change, thank god for modern technology.
  15. I spent a while looking for these and in the end bought the complete strip from a scrapped Zed that was in good condition, hope you have better luck than me buddy.
  16. Hi mate, Vijay is working in the instructions as we speak im in the same boat, screwdriver poised and at the ready.
  17. I fitted series 2 clocks into my series 1 car so I dont think it should be a problem Splatt, just wanted to know how they had been converted so I could say if they were going to work ok.
  18. Its a fairly easy thing to do so I would swap them over put them in and see if work properly, I think they will do but its hard to say without knowing exactly how they have been converted.
  19. I suppose it depends on how they were converted, has a resistor been changed?
  20. Sounds like you have a series 1 and a series 2 set of clocks, you can take the dials out of one and put them in the other rather than hack the wiring about.
  21. Good luck bud you have set your sights high there, get those clocks sorted tho, 110mph clocks in a car like this is just shameful
  22. Transmission fluid if its an Auto is the dipstick behind the engine, gets topped up through dipstick as well.
  23. ChrisP, a man of few words but he does have a red ring
  24. A Ducati copy, bets its expensive as well,
  25. Right hand side next to your alarm, could be the kph/mph convertor if its not the fluid.
