Yes you can decat a 90 Z with no MOT issues, a stainless steel system is the best way to go, depends on what funds you have available.

Best way in my opinion is to get a set of UK clocks which as Legrath said should set you back about £100 and is a pretty easy job to swap over, if you get some Jspec clocks that have had a different resistor soldered in they will also work or a set of Jspec clocks with the little black box still attached that alters the speedo reading will do it.

If your TPS is out of adjustment there is a relay near the steering column that will click as you put your foot down, I have heard this before and it sounds very similar to what you have described.

Sorry but its been said before , if you want economy buy a diesel, you buy a Z cos it looks great, its sexy and has performance to match, gas bottles in the back just aint right IMHO.

Well rather than go on about how shit the world is I thought I would share my good day, so far my local Nissan dealer gave me a thermostat and 5 ltrs of antifreeze for free, the manager saw my car and told the lad in the parts dept they were on the house, had someone offer me £4k for the car and he seemed very keen to buy it, kept saying how much then till he got the message its not for sale, the girl at the Shell fourecourt keeps asking about the car and wants me to take her for a spin in it and to cap it all today I finished fitting my hard rad pipe kit, colour coded cam covers, uprated radiator and the 2 metal pipes that I spent ages polishing, it looks lovely, and to cap it all tomorrow morning I am off to Brands Hatch for the weekend to watch the WSB, yeeha.
