  1. ET59 & ET43. Baby Jesus would literally cry blood if he saw offset like that on a Zed.
  2. Now buy a working Auto with the money and come down for another remap :D
  3. Unfortunately, yes :(
  4. Acrid-smelling white smoke on idle is vapourised oil exiting out the newly-damaged oil seals. Turbo seal damage due to dry bearings will be the first thing to show due to oil starvation, further down the line you may have bottom end issues (shells) and top-end issues (cam/tappets).
  5. Sorry, been too hectic to commit to much anything recently. Busy that weekend, but may still make it. Rather not use up a stand pass if someone else can definitely attend.
  6. Got some important jobs to get out of the way first, then will look into finishing it off. After Time Attack & BDC, so will get on it middle of June hopefully. My car was exceptionally dirty that day.
  7. Clearly fuelled by Redbull
  8. I don't have idle problems. Ask anyone who was at Japfest that saw/heard my car idling :D I'm a perfectionist, and there are some mapping considerations to take into account with running a single Maf with dual intakes, which may vary from car to car, hence I am developing an idle balance kit that can be universal & tailored to each specific car. I can map anyone's car with single MAF, dual intakes and no idle balance kit, but it takes longer, and therefore will cost more. Hence, I will be offering the adjustable idle balance kit which will eliminate any idle-specific variation between cars and keep costs down for the end user.
  9. Hmmm, where do I start...... £25 spent so far on new pads. £0 planned for the rest of the year. Cost me nothing 18 months ago (swapped it for a Forester SF5 T/tb I won 2 yrs previously on eBay for £440). Most I've spent so far in one go is £130 for a 2nd hand FMIC kit from (adl) phoenix. Probably have about £800 tied up in it, cheapest 12s daily I've ever had. The joys of owning a Zed
  10. I can't believe Round 3 clashes with Round 2 of BDC :censored: I'll be at Snetterton, looking forward to it.
  11. The issue is knock when running a JDM ECU on 95 RON fuel. The UK OEM timing maps differ a LOT from the JDM maps, up to 6° more retarded in the transient boost areas. The stock knock control is only operational at 3200 RPM and below at high loads. The ECU doesn't really adapt to lower octane fuel, if it detects knock whilst in a load cell with knock control enabled, it switches to the knock maps (richer fuelling, more retarded timing) in an effort to stop the uncontrolled combustion, and will also limit boost to 7psi if knock continues. It will only do this below 3200 RPM, however.
  12. Great stuff :D
  13. Hello & Welcome! Pics :)
  14. Not seen that one before.
  15. The 300zx.co.uk banners/flags were conspicuous by their absence... :(
  16. Insane entry speeds, hope the car's an easy fix
  17. My car's covered in crap. All go, no show.
  18. May 18th is general RWYB. May 19th is Test & Tune. Alternatively, there's Shakespeare County Raceway. I'm waiting on a call from Dave. The fact that we've got 5 ready & willing members is great going, and I know one Zed that should do very well all round. Will be a great day, it's just so much fun. Can't wait :D
  19. I make & sell MBCs if required. This kind of project is great, and a cheap Zed is perfect for it.
  20. Mig tips: No point. Use an MBC at least, or an electronic one if you have a spare kicking round. Less messing around, less spiking plus the ability to alter boost levels. Look forward to hearing from you :)
  21. My post wasn't aimed at you, it's just that there's no point in more than one person dealing with registering the team with TOTB. Correspondence so far: Like I've said, I've got my MR2 concentrate on, but I'll still happily organise the 300zx.co.uk team, sort all the paperwork & entrants, the logistics of getting all the club gear to York etc etc. Or someone else can do it and I'll have more time to do my own thing given that my other car is well into the 11s after the first shakedown of the year. I'd rather not waste my time or anyone else's :)
  22. Looks like it's a budget build, so with that in mind: 3SGTE injectors are 440cc side feed high impedance. If you want to do it on a tight budget, adapt some Impreza injectors or increase the fuel pressure (I run up to 450 BHP on stock 370s with adjustable FPR). eBay or 2nd hand for FMIC, exhaust, air filters etc. Get the elbows with the S13 T25s and weld them to fit the decats. Manual boost controller, colder plugs (BKR7E), remap or chip. Done.
  23. I was going to organise the team, hence starting the thread, posting on Facebook and talking to Dave about it etc, but there's no point more than one person doing it.
