  1. That's just a single intake using twin air filters, fits nicely if you have a FMIC. Dual intake (dual POP - Performance Optimised Package ugh) split the intake completely.
  2. Should be doable, but dual kits are available. The LM-2 has this functionality, as does the Daytona WEGO IV.
  3. I only decided to increase fuel pressure above 420-ish bhp. I am still running stock injectors at 456bhp & 1.5 bar on stock Auto turbos (112k)
  4. BKR7EIX if you want to stay with Iridiums. BKR7E for coppers.
  5. Monitor the bank which runs leanest at WOT or both. It's not a case of switching over, the sensors need to be heated whenever the car is running. I have a single sensor in the RHS downpipe.
  6. Depends how much boost you want to run and the other modifications.

  8. Yes, I sent it to Terry :)
  9. PMs sent to those that have expressed an interest in entering.
  10. Boost jets & chip will not see you to 400bhp. Z32 ECUs can be mapped the same as an aftermarket ECU (Link, Power FC, Motec etc) to a point, generic chips serve a purpose (once upon a time, and I still do supply these on occasion), but not if you're wanting 400bhp with minimal modifications. 400bhp on a stock Auto isn't anywhere near as easy as is being made out either, I'm afraid. You need larger intercoolers or front mount for starters. You also need to be willing to run your small Auto turbos (.54 A/R) at relatively high boost levels. If you must have dump valves, fine, but they're a waste of good air if you ask me :) In order to make that power reliably without pulling the engine to fit larger turbos, you need to reduce the BSFC (Brake Specific Fuel Consumption) of the engine. BSFC is a simple measure of how much power is produced for the amount of fuel used, and a lower BSFC is better. You do this by making the engine breathe as efficiently as possible. Low intake temps, minimal restrictions on both intake & exhaust side. These engines respond brilliantly to larger pipework and/or dual intakes.
  11. Determine if the injector is firing with the aid of a long screwdriver & your ear :)
  12. Not sure yet. Didn't watch it last year, but apparently my Pulsar was spotted on the handling track.
  13. Possibly 60% of all Zeds I've worked with have faulty OEM oil pressure gauges.
  14. Is there anything actually wrong with it?
  15. I can provide a basemap for you, no problem there at all :)
  16. UPDATE FOR ALL THOSE INTERESTED IN ENTERING AS PART OF THE 300ZX.CO.UK TEAM: There is now an option for entering as part of a group on the TOTB website. Also: If we can get a team of 5 Zeds to take part, that would really be a massive accomplishment. Now I've been bestowed the title of 300zx.co.uk Motorsports Events Organiser, it is officially my job to get this team organised & entered in TOTB. Well, I'm 100% entering my Zed, with HKS ALC, new brakes, subframe bushes, diet & a few hours on the dyno with race fuel in its belly! If anyone needs race fuel let me know :) Exciting stuff! So here's the team so far: 1. jaffa - Entered 2. Noz - Ready to enter 3. keano - Ready to enter (please confirm) 4. Silverline - Ready to enter 5. will300zxtt - Please let me know how you're getting on 6. paulzx - Interested.... :) CUT-OFF DATE FOR TEAM ENTRIES IS 22nd July 2013. 8 days & counting. I will also be entering the MR2 if it's ready. If the team is short by 1 member, I will enter the MR2 as part of the Official 300zx.co.uk Team. We will lose out on the one-make 4 point bonus, but we must have 5 vehicles in the first place :D For any other Zed owners out there, if you're interested in entering and have had your car mapped by myself, please get in contact as I will be offering an incentive for you to enter and run a Turbonoz sticker TOTB also gets shown on Sky
  17. It can sound a pretty daunting thing to get involved with, but it really isn't. You can practice all three disciplines on the Saturday (known as Boot Camp), although you will have to bear in mind that the handling course changes completely in order to make it fair for those only competing on Sunday. The top speed km runs are known as 'flyers', and to signal your intentions you make a flying gesture with your hand as you approach the 1/4 mile start line. Everything is explained on Sunday at the briefing, plus you'll be comfortable with everything once you've done a few on the Saturday. Just make sure you remember to close your window on a flyer, at 140mph I found dirt in the car levitating in front of me and it was quite distracting :wack: The cost for competing is £100. For your money you get the following: Entry for yourself & vehicle to compete on both the Saturday & Sunday in all 3 disciplines Entry for another person & support vehicle Entertainment on the Saturday evening (music, mechanised bull & alcohol ) Camping space (last year I had 2 tents & 2 cars parked up - you basically get as much room as you need) I competed for the first time last year as an individual and had an amazing time. Incredibly good value! With regards to competitiveness, the RWD class is fairly open IMO plus my Zed will probably be the slowest one there. I'm going to run huge "STOCK TURBO, INJECTORS & ENGINE" stickers so that everyone knows just what the mighty Zed is capable of!
  18. Looked stunning, parked in the same spot as the black 944 I used to drool over :thumbup1:
  19. Thanks people, got a hectic couple of weeks with Time Attack on the 20th and Ten Of The Best on the 27th-28th  Hahaha ;)
  20. I had the targas off in the sweltering heat, then hit a tropical storm on the way out of Leicester, then pure sunshine all the way to Mr Silverline's :D
  21. I tune the 16bit ECU in exactly the same way as the 8bit ECUs just with the addition of a daughterboard :)
  22. Hello & welcome :)
  23. In an ideal wolrd, yes. But in the example quoted above given on the website regarding emergency vehicles, it's not so clear cut. Cars behind me ended up having to swerve into the other lane as well, thankfully missing me.
