  1. Power enhancers. Fitment testing: ARP everything, Eagle rods, ACL race bearings, big-spec cylinder heads, flashings removed, new core plugs, stock pistons with uprated rings (don't ask!):

  3. :confused1: Unless you PM me or send a message via Facebook, it's quite difficult to know there's yet another TOTB thread. I'm flat out trying to get things done whilst my engine & car are in Bristol and my manifolds, turbos & wastegates are in Nottingham. Plus, I also need to map Jaffa's car so he too can make the event. I've not owned a Pulsar for a couple of years now unfortunately.

  5. Speak to Paul Mattin (111mattin111 on here), he's just about finished my bespoke tubular manifolds and does all my fabrication work (not just limited to car stuff, either).
  6. Hi, I've been incredibly busy the last few weeks, and will be incredibly busy the next two weeks as well. If you are in a rush to get it mapped, I won't be able to cater for you I'm afraid. If you can be at Avon Tuning in Bristol when I am in that part of the country, then something may be possible. There will be posts of mine from around 3 years ago showing log files of my car running 1.4 bar with standard injectors and around 400bhp (my engine was never one for making power easily compared to most). I ran 456bhp & 482lb·ft on standard injectors & fuel pump for some time with just an increase of the base fuel pressure and mapping to suit.
  7. Other than the occasional injector driver, 300zx ECUs don't suffer any common issues. Some of the examples of soldering (chip sockets, half-assed repairs etc) I've seen over the years is truly appalling though.
  8. My S1 PTU died a death years ago. Replaced it with an R33 GTR PTU I had lying around and it's been fine ever since. Relocated under the nose panel.
  9. The numbers are definitely poor compared to last year. 1. Jaffa 2. Noz?? 3. Iangreenfield 4. Slick Pete 5. Silverline?? 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. I've not heard from Steve (Silverline) for quite some time. I have no idea if my own car will be ready in time! So much needs to be done that is out of my control
  10. Cheap hard pipes, £25 delivered.
  11. K&N filter plus Z32 MAF adaptor for sale. In very good condition. £60 delivered. Excuse the poor photo:
  12. Possibly the rear main seal. I've pushed 1.5 bar through my own car without issue on a boost leak test, what pressure did you hit?
  13. O2 voltage at idle varies depending if it's lean or rich, and also how much exhaust gas the sensors are picking up. They can often struggle at idle RPM (hence the test for O2 sensors is conducted at 2k rpm). Has the car been mapped? LHS & RHS bank don't fire at exactly the same rate. Would need a lot more information (as in data) to determine if there is an issue. Nothing to do with age of the injectors.
  14. Hello & welcome :)
  15. I advocate the use of them in general. Unless it is a brand new VG30DETT running stock boost. 14psi is not stock.
  16. More information required: EBC model? EBC settings?
  17. Slight change of plans I think! New engine spec will still feature OEM pistons & rods, held together with ARP head studs, rod & mains bolts with ACL +0.001" rod & mains race bearings. Forged internals waiting in the wings for when (if) the stock pistons give up the ghost :D Should have things ready to roll a bit quicker this way.
  18. You've trapped the sender. Just remove the screws and re-position :)
  19. Ultrasonically cleaned, fitted with brand new seals & pintle caps. Impedance checked, four at 11.4Ω, two at 11.3Ω. £320 delivered
  20. That's where I started!
  21. That advert is so sketchy.
  22. Hello & welcome :)
  23. The only problem IIRC was due to the base timing being set incorrectly which was very simple to rectify with a timing light. I can't recall the car not having a boost controller, how did it make over 500hp @ wheels at base boost? :wack: Best to PM and keep this thread about TOTB though :)
  24. Off topic from TOTB: There aren't any gear-related differences between 1st and any other gear (although on a factory map, there is a separate top gear map that runs richer with no O2 feedback in the midrange). You won't just have a flat spot in 1st, ECU doesn't work like that. When I mapped it a couple years back there were issues with the CAS position and the fact the timing had been set without a timing light. It is impossible to correctly map a car where the timing "drifts". Here is an example of a faulty CAS that didn't throw a code and the owner had no idea there was an issue due to "slack" splines: I've also had a Zed on the dyno where the CAS shaft was so bent the entire RHS front of the engine oscillated back and forth, but this didn't affect the timing as the splines were fine.
  25. Hahaha, I am worried about letting my fingers type a cheque that my arse cannot cash. Sod it, you're on mate :thumbup1:
