  1. >> I have heard this so many times and still no-one has been able to explain to me why fitting TT injectors into an NA will give you a power increase????? there won't be an increase in power and it's like fitting 555 cc injectors on a TT running stock boost it has absolutely no use unless you are running over 80% injector duty cycle or running NOS. the stock NA injectors are good for 250 rwhp and with increased fuelpressure they are able to flow enough fuel for around 300 rwhp.
  2. I had a very similar problem with my turboed NA and it only happened on really hot days and only between 1000-2500 RPM long story, but it's related to EGT levels and the only thing that really helped (for me) was adding fuel to the low/mid load areas of the fuelmaps (in the chip)...downside is the slightly higher fuel consumption. Do not retard timing in those areas...it will make things worse ! (EGT levels will get even higher...although you might not hear the pinging anymore) -Eric
  3. >> I've had problems with severe front inside edge tyre wear ever since lowering and fitting 18's. Have you checked the tire isn't rubbing against the top suspension link parts ?
  4. so, how exactly did your mechanic check the wiring out of the car ? ;) how and where did he check the speed signal ? This because the speed signal at the ECU comes from the speedo...not the sensor. the actual speed sensor signal is an AC voltage that increases with speed and can be measured at the back of the speedo. in 8 out of 10 cases the problem is caused by the speedo cluster (either brittle solder joints or electronic component failure) and not the sensor or wiring. Try a different (working) cluster in your car and see if that fixes the problem.
  5. If you want to buy a car in the US, you should always ask the owner for a carfax history report. it shows the complete history of the car: when it has switched owners, if it ever was in any serious accidents, odometer readings, etc. And if you're still having doubts, you can use this company to have the car checked out for you: http://www.carchex.com/
  6. Maybe you swapped (injector) connectors around when replacing them ? (wild guess) also check if the main blue ECU connector is placed/seated correctly (not too loose, not too tight) All kinds of strange problems may occur if this connector is not making good contact with the ECU. NB: once you get the car running change oil ASAP ! (or your engine will not last very long)

  8. I probably have what you're looking for. I recently bought two S2 Zeds in Japan (for breaking), both have dark grey suede interiors in good shape. PM me if you're interested. As the cars are in Holland, shipping all items might be a bit expensive though.. -Eric
  9. another Zerrari for sale in Germany: http://mobile.de/SIDxbwpdxLTrDnW8tN65v3PUA-t-vaNexlCsAsCsK%F3P%F3R~BmSB11Iindex_cgiJ1169543579A1Iindex_cgiD1100CCarX-t-vctpLtt~BmPA1A1B20B15%81N-t-vCaMiMkQuSeUnVb_X_Y_x_yrd~BSRA6D1100A5E18700BGNCPKWA0HinPublicA2A0A0A0D1990/cgi-bin/da.pl?bereich=pkw&sr_qual=GN&top=14&id=11111111218143928&
  10. yes, ECU will go into a *semi* safetymode when speedsignal is missing. most noticable is the revlimiter will kick in earlier (~ 5500rpm),and some other small changes will be set. If you have a Jim Wolf ECU there won't be much difference, as Jim Wolf binned most of the safety features that are build into the ECU.
  11. >> if it isnt that what other options are there ? low compression on one or more cylinders
  12. press the clutch while looking under the car and see if you see oil leaking/dripping. Most likely the rubber hose to the slave cylinder is ruptured/leaking.
  13. >> What about 2 s13 t25s arnt these a straight swap wont these flow more air than the standard zed t25 as there bigger. No straight swap, They are slightly bigger, but it's hard to find 2 identical (both in good shape) turbos and you'll need at least larger injectors to benefit from larger turbos. To be able to fit S13 Turbos, the turbos need to be clocked, you'll need 5 bolt downpipes and S13 turbos have a hose type compressor housing, not a flange type as the Z32 turbos. Also the S13 turbos are TB25 turbos based on technology from the 70's (same as the turbo from the Z32), so why bother. There are much more efficient and better turbos on the market today...maybe slightly more expensive, but why not spend a little more and do it right the first time.
  14. >> Polish and Porting, Is it worth doing? only when fitting larger valves and more aggressive cams (imho)
  15. >> Ebisu, Japan - The Z32 is not the first choice of Drift Drivers, but this hard headed driver won with an unorthodox car, to climb to the top of his class. >> Battle Magazine Cup Battle Drift 2003 >> Thohoko Middle Class Champion >> Ebisu Circuit: South Course >> Driver: Satoru Koyama http://300zx-twinturbo.com/vidz/Zdrift.WMV
  16. other way around ;) the ECU "senses" when the car is in gear and adjusts revs and timing accordingly the sensor itself is loacted at the back of the gearbox, nearest one to the shifter
  17. for the most part it's the same... if the US-spec is a TT. us-shocks are electronically adjustable both front and rear. european shocks only at the rear. As US TT's were only available as 2 seaters and EURO TT's only as 2+2's, the propshaft is different also. stabiliser bars are also different, because of this same reason. All other suspension/subframe parts are the same and can be interchanged.
  18. >> But wont the tt diff bolt up onto the na frame not without modifications to the subframe. The mounts of the NA diff are different.
  19. quick way to test the cas is to remove it (don't forget to mark it's current position) and manualy rotate the cas axle with the ignition on and listen if you hear the injectors click. and to add to the discussion: The CAS has nothing to do with the fuel pump or fuel distribution. It's a sensor used for measuring RPM and crank angle/position This signal is then used by the ECU to determine when to open certain injectors and when to fire a spark. So in short, a defective CAS can cause the ecu not to operate the injectors or cause ignition problems. -Eric
  20. It will only fit if you swap it completely with NA diff, NA axles, hubs, etc. the NA subframe itself is slightly different when compared to a TT frame and it won't allow fitment of the TT diff and HICAS parts.
  21. yes, multichecker and conzult work fine together
  22. here's a video of that car...sounds nice (esp. in the last few seconds of the vid) http://www.photodump.org/stored9/SPEEDANDSOUND.wmv
  23. >> firstly its an NA with a tt front bumper on it! why its probably been in a smash worth pointing it out Not neccesarily...some later model TT's from Japan didn't have the boost gauge.

  25. most likely the sound you hear is coming from the diff. in most cases it's nothing to worry about, it's just because the poly bushes won't absorb the vibrations/sounds as much as the old (and worn) rubber bushes.
