  1. I still have issues to. I have a message from JaiKail with instructions on how to get around the problem but it was written in Klingon (I hate computers) so I haven’t been able to try it. Maybe you’ll understand what to do and it will get you into the post... It seems that in new browser versions curly brackets in URL is now deemed as BAD. A work around is to remove the end parts of the url so that only the thread id is shown.
  2. I think there are many names people have called you here that could only be associated with you.
  3. WOW! That’s opened up a whole new world of post. Cheers!
  4. Hi Lee I seem to have come across another issue. I was looking for the White Zed and Blue Zed posts in the media sub forum and they’re not there. I can use the search function and find them there but when I go to the sub forum they disappear. I’ve attached a photo showing they’re not visible. Cheers, Chris.
  5. Way more news worthy in my opinion! And the subsequent restoration post shout be front page news.
  6. Oh no, sorry to hear that. Better to do it right though than to risk it.
  7. I’m keeping the faith that you will get it sorted and make NEC.
  8. Have you been able to book another mapping session for next week?
  9. :happybday: Hope you had a great day Si!
  10. Thanks Andrew. It’s my understanding that there was a recall for this issue in the states but not for the UK. My seat is very similar to that.
  11. Thanks, I’ve got power to the seat Jeff.
  12. Afternoon all I was hoping someone might be able to tell me if it’s possible to reconditioned a seat motor. My Navaras driver seat forward/back motor has stopped working. I’ve taken it all apart and there’s signs of heat damage on the copper coiling. I called Nissan to order a new motor and was told they only come with a new seat base at nearly £1k +vat. I’d rather get mine reconditioned if possible than try my luck with a second hand unit. Many thanks for you advice, Chris.
  13. Are you using standard springs too Gaz? Some picture of how it sits with 18” would be nice. Jeff, what springs did you use and what wheel size? Also a few pictures would be nice if you have them please?
  14. Of course they will mate but everyone will still have the opportunity to arrange the local meets. The reason I think we should do it is for the REOs to have half a chance of arranging a larger regional meet.
  15. That’s great. If it is accepted by the committee can we please do a roll call in the current forums just to let people know what’s going on before we change. Hopefully this will help retain active members in the new forum set up and possibly build some enthusiasm for the new system.
  16. Who supplied them Simon as a quick search only brings up the Zeta CRD.
  17. Morning guys I would like to propose we change the areas in our “Meetings and events” forum. Currently we have 13 sub forums (never a good number in motorsports) and I would like to see this changed to 7 forums (National, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, North, Midlands, South). After a recent roll call in the current south coast forum I got 4 replies. That’s terrible and not worth the time trying to organise an event. If we had larger areas more people might check in and see what’s going on. Localised meets could still be arranged in these larger forums so there’s no lose there. I’m not suggesting this is going to make a huge difference but it MIGHT help get more people together. There’s more work needed but the meetings and events forums need to be more inclusive before I (and other REOs) start work on trying to re-engage absent members back into the forum community. What do you guys think? Cheers, Chris.
  18. We could put our money together and go for it. I’ll take it out on the days ending in y, you can have all the other days of the year.
  19. More dry bush than bearing. It sounded like a creaking head board. I’ll try and upload a video.
  20. Morning guys. I got the car out this morning to take it to a paint shop in Worthing so they could see what they could do for my spoiler and paint matching (last time I visit somewhere, if they’re not helpful it’s time to think about a full respray.). When I drove off the drive there was a terrible grinding noise from the front off side. I pulled over straight away and confirmed the noise was coming from the front suspension area, it felt like it was coming from the FUCA. I drove it two miles straight to my local brake and suspension shop to get it on the ramps for a proper look but when we went back to the car the noise had stopped so they were unable to look for a problem. Thankfully I recorded the noise (I don’t know how to post it here) to prove I wasn’t going mad. Do you guys have any ideas what it might have been? The car was last moved out and into my garage on Monday for a clean, but no water was sprayed around that area. Last driven for the Goodwood breakfast meet two weeks ago and didn’t have an issue then. It was a bit nippy this morning, say 4deg but I can’t see why this would cause the suspension to make that much noise (honestly it was very loud). Cheers, Chris.
  21. Will you be attending Jeff? I’d be happy to have you ride with me.
  22. Like I said it was KL1 - Dark Grey Pearl Graphite and has been repainted to look like what I thought was AH3 - Red pearl. Apparently there is one UK car in this colour for that year which is why I chased up the VIN.
